Shinsengumi NHK drama broadcast in 2004. Show based on the 1863 movement of Ronin to Kyoto. Written by Japanese director and playwright, Koki Mitani. The greatest year-long TV show I’ve ever seen.
The beginning of 19 involved Okito Soji and Serizawa. Okito died from tuberculosis a few years later on July 19, 1868; he was 25.
