Mei Nagano 永野芽郁

Mei Nagano (永野 芽郁) is a Japanese actress born on September 24, 1999, in Tokyo. She was scouted in Kichijōji, Tokyo, during her third year of elementary school and made her acting debut in 2009 with a minor role in the film ‘Hard Revenge Milly: Bloody Battle’. She later became an exclusive model for fashion magazines ‘Nico☆Petite’ and ‘nicola’, and in August 2016, she started modeling exclusively for ‘Seventeen’. In 2015, she gained attention for her role as Rinko Yamato in the film ‘My Love Story!!’ and had her first leading role in the 2016 drama ‘Koe Koi’. In 2017, she appeared in the film ‘Daytime Shooting Star’ and was cast as the lead in NHK’s 98th Asadora, ‘Hanbun, Aoi’, which aired in April 2018. For this role, she won Best Actress at the 98th Japan Television Drama Academy Awards. In 2019, she co-starred with Masaki Suda in the drama ‘Mr. Hiiragi’s Homeroom’ and won Best Supporting Actress at the 100th Japan Television Drama Academy Awards.
