It’s time to share my first Japanese cover with y’all!!
I wanted to do this song for such a long time, and I actually tried it once but accidentally deleted it *facepalm*
Anyways, thinking back it seems insane that I ‘finished’ that first attempt in one day, because this was probably the most difficult cover I’ve done so far!
The original version of this song has a very high amount of autotune, so it was pretty hard to imitate the nasal sound and it really was a bit too high-pitched for me at some point (let alone the adlibs?!) but I persevered and I’m pretty pleased with the result!
After working on ‘Easy’ I really got hooked on using special sound effects and I was also able to use a lot in this cover. It makes it sound so much cooler with echoes and stuff! I spent a lot of time on this, I also postponed uploading it for a while because I thought that maybe I’d still alter some parts, but you know, I’ll probably never be a 100% satisfied so might as well leave it like this xD I also really wanted to add a clip from the drama of which this song is the theme song, ‘Totsuzen Desu ga, Ashita Kekkon Shimasu’. Nishiuchi Mariya plays the main role here, so I thought it’d be fun to include her physical presence in the cover, haha. It’s a really fun drama to watch, by the way!
