"Bassy, UK-referencing rhythms rumble over clanging chords and domineering 909 percussion. The combination is exhilarating." - Resident Advisor review of Fjaak's release Gewerbe 15 / Rush
dART+ is kick starting 2016 with the thriving energy of Fjaak, a talented triplet from Berlin. These three boys are blessed with loads of talent, which shines through in everything they touch. Fjaak sets are full of Machine-like Vibes; normally thought of as two opposite concepts, they engineer a combination of both vinyl and live, creating an energy filled performance.
Since their establishment in 2009, Fjaak attracted worldwide attention with an alternative and boundary pushing take on classic techno, house and breakbeat. The young Berlin residents‘ music is mostly based on hardware jams capturing both the soul of a one-take recording and the energetic fusion of three individuals.

Lantern stays open late. No, I mean, really late. Like, they stay open early. Like, you could leave Dada at 7:00 AM and, access to caffeine permitting, you could still probably shake it for a few hours at Lantern. There’s usually cover (about 50 RMB) but if you’re showing up in the wee hours, the Lantern staff may be feeling generous. But there’s no reason not to start your night here in the first place. Lantern is about 100 meters north of Workers’ Stadium’s West Gate in Gongti. It’s owned and operated by the good people at Acupuncture Records, a really solid Beijing techno label, who always have their ear to clientele buzz– so the DJs are usually top notch. If you love techno, check out Lantern.
