The CDC has updated vaccination guidelines for children and adults to prevent serious diseases, including COVID-19. Unvaccinated individuals should receive initial COVID-19 doses, while those previously vaccinated are advised to get the 2024-2025 Moderna or Pfizer booster at least eight weeks later. Adolescents aged 12 to 17 are recommended Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, or Novavax vaccines to tackle current variants. Adults 18+ should get at least one dose, with added boosters for those 65+ or with health conditions. Childhood vaccines protect against measles, rubella, tetanus, and influenza, emphasizing catch-up doses and annual flu shots starting at six months. New RSV immunization protects infants under eight months. Adult guidelines include boosters for Tdap, shingles, HPV, and more, ensuring comprehensive protection throughout life.
