Ubisoft has officially given up..
so like bro they are absolutely floundering they are drowning as you might remember a couple months ago we shared a snippet from a Ubisoft earnings call so in terms of um um we we don’t disclose nor comment uh pre-orders well as it turns out Ubisoft had an emergency investors call yesterday here are the highlights welcome everybody and thank you for joining the call on such a short notice our second quarter fell short of expect turning to Star Wars Outlaw portion of players have expressed dissatisfaction notably on stealth mechanics and overh whole polish I want to reaffirm that we are an entertainment first company and our goal is not to push any specific agenda ghost of yote um so the sequel the ghost of tsushima looks an awful lot like Assassin’s Creed uh Shadows so is there a risk that uh you start bumping into that one that people will not buy Shadows on the competition related to Assassin’s Creed Shadows the the focus is really to make sure that we deliver a fantastic experience um in the in the setting taking place in this feudal Japan um that should should be really enticing any color you can provide on the incremental development cost to get the game ready thank you now the excess of cost will um will be uh around 20 milum so it has gone down oh my God and uh yeah so Star Wars Outlaws even made a tweet about this too they’re apologizing to everybody they’re saying bro they are in shambles they are new contracts will be added for free for all players and the game will be available on Steam starting November 21st it’s crazy isn’t it everyone comes crawling back what does this really tell you they are doing everything that they can to make money because steam takes 30% everything is going wrong and there willing to basically sell out their own launcher to do that the decision to move Assassin’s Creed Shadows to February 2025 was a mistake well I have figured it out they’re trying to release Assassin’s Creed in the middle of one of the biggest release months because they’re expecting the game to go really badly and so nobody will be talking about Assassin’s Creed so people won’t realize that it came out and it was really bad there’s going to be an excuse for the shareholders I guess so man um uh in the the uh
