中古の軽バンで日本一周、ようやく宮崎県までやってきました…!!
Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Today’s video is the Miyazaki edition of my Japan road trip! Yayyy! Do you guys remember this Japan trip series? It’s been 8 months since the last one! That’s kinda a long break, huh? So let’s go over the rules again! The number of likes on the previous video is the budget I get for this episode’s prefecture. That means today’s likes will decide how much I can spend on the next one! So please go ahead and smash that like button! Pretty please 🥺 Last time I got 29,100 likes… So I brought exactly ¥29,100 — that’s about $200! That’s actually a pretty generous budget today! So I’m not gonna force myself to spend it all— but I’ll definitely make the most of it! Alrighty, let’s get going! Okay, let’s roll out! It’s my first time in Miyazaki so I’m kinda nervous driving… But you know, first-time places always feel exciting and new! It’s so weird seeing all the cars with Miyazaki license plates. I think this might be my first time seeing one! I feel like people from Miyazaki don’t usually drive all the way to Tokyo or Shizuoka, right? I’m the only one with a different license plate, so I feel kinda left out… 😢 *Maybe I should switch to Miyazaki plates too… I’m shy* Right now I’m driving around the area near Miyazaki Station, but I’ve already picked out where I’m headed! I’m on my way to a special place~ It’s gonna take about… two hours to drive there from here. It’s a bit far, but I’ve been dying to go there! So I’ll tough it out and hit the road! Just a bit ago I was coming from the ferry terminal towards Miyazaki Station— and I swear there were actual palm trees! It’s seriously like a tropical Japan down here! But the weather here feels pretty much the same as Tokyo, honestly. Like, it’s hot, but I feel like the temperature’s kinda similar. Apparently it’s 28°C right now! Sooo… cooler than Tokyo actually. Wait, how many prefectures have I visited now? Let’s do a quick little recap! First was Shizuoka, right? Then Kanagawa after that, and then Saitama, then Gunma… and Nagano! Then I moved on to the west side— Kyoto, Nara, Osaka… And the last one was Akita! So that makes this the 10th prefecture! That’s actually a lot, huh? I’ve probably racked up a ton of mileage too. But sometimes I get comments from wild people— like “I drive 100km a day, so I did 3,000km this month.” I got one of those before. And yeah… I totally lost that battle. I don’t drive crazy long every day, but— when I go, I go big. I didn’t include it in the videos, but I also have to drive back too! I gotta get all the way back to Tokyo from Miyazaki. So yeah… you can double the video distance. 😅 It adds up… slowly but surely. Well, maybe not *that* slowly. Anyway, I’m gonna keep driving today— gonna be on the move a lot. Ever since I remodeled Papa Clipper, the back kinda feels like a secret base! It’s way comfier to hang out in now. So if I get tired, I just take a break, or even lie down and GORON~ That makes the trip way less stressful. Miyazaki gives me ocean vibes, but also mountain vibes! It just feels like the nature here is super gorgeous. And Miyazaki beef is famous too, right? Ughh I wanna eat some Miyazaki beef… Also, their dialect is so cute! Like when they say “shichoru ken” and stuff—it’s adorable! I’m like “I’m drivin’ the car right now, shichoru ken!” Then like, “Where should we go next?” kinda vibes? Sorry if I got it totally wrong 😅 It’s sooo beautiful here… Feels like I’m not even in Japan! Seriously… wow. I think it was when I drove in Nagano? Someone commented “That’s my house!” 😂 I was so shocked lol *They even added a timestamp—it was hilarious* I usually don’t drive through neighborhoods much, but I guess I just happened to that time. Still totally surprised though. Maybe someone’s house will show up in today’s video too! If you spot your place— please expose it with full address. 😇 *Good kids, don’t actually do that!* The nature here is absolutely gorgeous. Such a nice, easy drive too. Loving it. When I was customizing the van, I actually wanted to change the exterior too. Like, I seriously considered wrapping it hot pink. But then I was like, “Okay… maybe that’s too much.” I mean, I travel to so many places and it’d stand out too much. People would spot me instantly! They’d be like “Omg that’s Papa Clipper!” 😂 So yeah, I passed on that idea. Don’t postal vans come in like bright red? So mine would’ve been hot pink, like “Postal service delivers letters…” “And I deliver love letters ONLY.” 💌 *You know you’d peek inside if you were curious.* Oh yeah! When I was customizing the van, I thought it’d be cute— so I added a little cactus! And then it totally fell over inside the ferry… and got dirt EVERYWHERE. So before I left this morning I was just cleaning up all the dirt from that mess. Cars shake a lot after all— you really gotta be careful what you leave in there. Anyway, I’m about to hop on the Hitotsuba Toll Road. Gonna drive nice and smooth so nothing goes flying! Right now I’m headed to a place called Takachiho Gorge. It’s got this crazy beautiful canyon, and apparently the views are incredible! They say you can even ride a boat through it! But there’s a limit to how many groups can go each day… I reaaally wanna ride one though. Fingers crossed I can get in… It’s been about an hour of driving since then. Nature’s been stunning the whole way— the scenery just never stops being pretty! It’s starting to rain a little… Even though I prayed for clear skies, it didn’t work 🥲 It’s supposed to rain this afternoon too, so looks like it’ll be a battle with the weather today. *I’m doomed already.* When I customized this van, I had the windows coated— so even in the rain, the water just beads off! That makes it super easy to see while driving, even in the rain. It’s honestly amazing. I made it! That was such a long drive… On the way in, I saw a kind of scary sign… But hey, who knows what it really meant, right? Anyway, let’s hop out and go check it out! The air is totally filled with negative ions… Mother Nature’s really flexin’ today. Uh, hi—are the rental boats running today? Not today. Because of the rain? Yeah, the water level rose too much. Ahh, got it… thanks anyway. I’m way too much of a rain magnet—they’re not renting boats today… *Cue sad sound effect* The water level got too high from the rain, so they had to stop the boats for safety. I really wanted to ride one though… They gave me this map a second ago— looks like I’ve got to walk a bit to get to Manai Falls. I’m on the trail now, doing my best! Apparently you can also see something called Takachiho-Sankyo on the way! So excited! Places like this really do it for me. I go on trips a lot, but honestly— I spend more time working on my laptop than sightseeing. So this is like a total mental reset for me. Breathing in all those negative ions— I feel like my body is legit healing. Takachiho Gorge has gone super viral on social media lately, like tens of thousands of likes! So now there are tons of foreign tourists here. I keep hearing “Hello!” and “Ni hao!” and stuff. *That extroverted girl is literally glowing* Honestly, like 80% of the people here are from overseas. Look at this! That cliff is intense! *IKKO-san just possessed me* Look at the shape of these rocks! Isn’t that wild? Wait, this isn’t carved, right? How does nature even do that?! So mysterious. Oop—”Beware of kaki” sign. Guess I shouldn’t eat them. *Not persimmons or oysters btw* Hope I didn’t just make the whole place colder with that joke… This whole area is stairs! And since it rained, they’re super slippery. Kinda dangerous, honestly. Still pushing through, gotta keep walking! The best part of this Japan trip is going to places you’d see in a school textbook! It’s like a real-life social studies field trip! Oh, look look! I found Manai Falls! Manai Falls is 17 meters tall, and the way the water flows between the cliffs is apparently super famous for its beauty! These cliffs are made of hexagonal rocks called “columnar joints,” lined up like pillars— and they were formed by lava cooling after an eruption from Mt. Aso 100,000 years ago! No wonder I thought the rocks looked super unique! So cool… The waterfall is seriously gorgeous. But man, there are so many stairs! You definitely need strong legs to come here. 😅 Glad I came while I’m still 18! (maybe) Ooh they’ve got heart plates! You can write a wish or a message for someone special. Wanna give it a try? This is cute! Looks like it’s 200 yen—about $1.50. This is exactly the kind of thing that’s worth spending on. Alrighty, here goes my 200 yen! *Time to write my heartfelt wish, very seriously* Okay, all done! Thank you for always supporting me 💕 I hope you’ll keep watching from now on too! Suzuki Yuuka That was a message for all of you 💌 It’s thanks to everyone’s likes that I’m able to have this budget and make these videos— so every like you tap I’ll keep giving back to you in ways like this! Looks like I can hang it right here! Where should I put it? Maybe right here in the center. *If you come to Takachiho Gorge, try to find mine!* Okay, I made it back to where I started. I walked a ton and now I’m super hungry, so I’m gonna head somewhere else to grab a bite! Just left Takachiho Gorge in search of some lunch! When you think of Miyazaki, you already know what’s coming, right? The next spot I’m heading to was actually recommended by a viewer! I made it to Roadside Station Seiunbashi! It’s apparently a hidden gem known mostly by locals. A secret spot, they say! I heard their chicken nanban is amazing, so I’m about to dive into a feast right now. Is the restaurant over there? Found the restaurant! It’s super clean and pretty. No one else is here—lucky me! Here it is! Chicken nanban has arrived! It looks soooo good. And I got mango juice to drink. Had to go with mango since we’re in Miyazaki after all! Delish! It’s not one of those super thin juices— it’s thick and really satisfying to drink. Alright, time to try the chicken nanban too! I think this might actually be my first time eating chicken nanban. (For real) So apparently, you dip the chicken into tartar sauce! This one has a yuzu flavor, but this regular one is the standard. I’ll start with the regular one first! Wait—this is insane… It’s flying-level good. Get it? Flying? Chicken? 😂 Doing this Japan trip means I get to try all the local specialties and amazing food from each area— and that’s seriously one of the best parts. I’m so happy right now. This Roadside Station Seiunbashi was about a 30-minute drive from Takachiho Gorge. Alright, let’s try the yuzu tartar next! Yep, that’s yuzu! *Not THAT Yuzu though!* So good. I didn’t know chicken nanban could taste this amazing. Out of all the chicken nanban I’ve had… This is number one. No contest. Well… it’s also my first time trying it. Even out of all the food I’ve eaten today— this is hands-down the best. Well, to be fair, this was my first meal of the day. 😅 *It was so good my brain forgot how to make jokes properly* I saw non-alcoholic beer on the menu… but since I’m driving today, I passed on the beer. I did consider the non-alc option, though… But like… is that even allowed? No idea tbh. Anyway, it wouldn’t look good on camera so I skipped alcohol for once! Successfully resisted the booze. Only downside to this Japan road trip is… no drinking. I just have to hold back for now. Filling up with mango juice instead! This mango juice is seriously too good. Right now, I might be the biggest mango lover in all of Miyazaki! Okay wait… maybe that’s a little arrogant. 😅 Anyway, that was delicious. Everything was absolutely amazing. Now that I’ve recharged my energy— I’m ready to drive back toward the Miyazaki area, about a 2-hour drive ahead. Let’s do this! Apparently Miyazaki is ranked 6th in Japan for being one of the longest north-to-south prefectures. So if you don’t plan your trip smart, you’ll just spend the whole time driving. It gets pretty rough. So if you’re coming to Miyazaki, make a plan, and stick to nearby spots first—it’s way better that way! *Try to do too much and you’ll waste a whole day just traveling.* Also, Miyazaki ranks #1 in Japan for shochu consumption! Yup, they drink the most shochu in the whole country. You’ve probably heard of “Kirishima,” right? That famous one? Turns out that’s from Miyazaki too! I mean, people in Kyushu in general do have a rep for holding their liquor… Maybe they’ve been training their livers for generations. Kyushu folks really do absorb alcohol like pros. And of course—Miyazaki also ranks #1 in mango production! Which is awesome, ‘cause I love mangoes. Actually, I’m heading to a certain place right now… Can’t tell you where yet though—it’s a secret. 🤫 But here’s a hint: it has something to do with mangoes! I mean, I came all the way to Miyazaki— I wanna go to the most famous, most delicious place around! So even if it’s far, I’m gonna push through— I *will* get there! Ughhh the rain’s starting again… Oh no… it’s the rain girl curse… I just got sneak-attacked by rain in Kyushu 😭 After nearly two hours of driving, I finally made it back toward Miyazaki Station. Ughh that was a long one… It was tough—got hit by heavy rain and everything, but I made it safely in the end! But whenever I concentrate for too long, I get super hungry. I literally just ate earlier, but… I was focusing so hard for two hours that I’m hungry again. So I’m gonna go grab a little something to eat. Right now I’m looking for a parking spot near the place I wanna go. I wonder how much parking costs here in Miyazaki? Maybe it’s cheap? *Japan road trip problem: always wondering about parking fees* Technically, parking fees aren’t counted as part of the budget, but still, it feels nice when they’re cheap, you know? Right now I’m driving down a street called Aozora-dori. Any locals watching know this road? I personally have no clue where I am. 😅 Is this Tachibana-dori? Yeah, it’s Tachibana-dori. If I turn here, there should be a parking lot. Oh yay, there’s an open spot! I’m parking here! This one’s cheaper. But the other one’s full, so this works too. Done! Parking always makes me the most nervous. Alright, let’s get out and head to the shop! That was the last open spot—what a miracle! Look, I thought the max fee was 300 yen, but the one I parked in is kinda pricey. It’s 100 yen per 30 minutes. I guess the easy-to-park spots always cost more. Tough world out there. Oh look, there’s a kitty! So cute 🐱 Maybe it’s the store’s cat? It’s suuuper adorable. Hello there! Aww, they’ve got the little clipped ear! Must be a community cat. Alright then, since I met you in Miyazaki— I’ll name you… Zakky! *Looks like Zakky didn’t love the name* Isn’t the townscape in Miyazaki super cute? There are flowers blooming all over the place! It’s so soothing. Apparently this area is called Virginia Beach Square. It’s so stylish, right? And—found the shop I was looking for! This is it! Fruit & Parlor – Fruits Ohno. They sell tons of locally grown fruits here in Miyazaki, and inside you can even get fancy fruit parfaits! Alright, let’s go check it out! I just got inside the store. Look look! Doesn’t everything look amazing? These parfaits are so fancy! But… there are no prices listed. Kinda scary, not gonna lie… But I’ve still got plenty of budget left, so I’m just gonna order whatever I want! Ughh I can’t decide… The tropical parfait looks sooo good. I’m too indecisive, can I have like 30 minutes to think? *Nope. That’ll get you banned.* I went with the Miyazaki Fully-Ripened Mango Parfait! Look at this! It’s mango from every single angle—360 degrees! It looks SO good… Alrighty, let’s dig in! Where do I even start with this thing? Can I eat this in a cute way? Sweet! It’s mango, but also… somehow more than mango? I don’t even know how to describe it… Delicious. Yeah, this is nothing like supermarket mangoes. It’s ridiculously good. This parfait was 2,800 yen—around $19. Yeah, it’s pricey, but honestly the flavor makes it totally worth it. No regrets at all. Even the whipped cream is so fluffy! *No joke, this is the 2nd best mango I’ve ever had in my life* I wonder what’s at the bottom… Look! There’s more fruit packed underneath too! Can you see it? Melon, grapes, apples, strawberries— You can enjoy this all the way to the very last bite! I swear I could eat like 100 of these. Oh no… the mango part disappeared in a blink. I ate it way too fast 😭 Oh noooo I’m already almost done! Come back, come back, come back, come back— Nope… it’s not coming back. But seriously, getting to enjoy all these fruits at once— such a good deal! All done! That was amazing. Okay, I’ll behave and not go for seconds. Even though I really wanted to. 😭 I have zero limit when it comes to sweets— but I’ll stop here for now. That was soooo good. I walked a bit from Fruits Ohno— and now I’m in front of Miyazaki Station! Don’t you always get curious about train stations when you travel? …Is that just me? Anyway, since I’m here, I’m gonna explore around Miyazaki Station a bit. There are even palm trees right in front of the station! It kinda looks like an Exeggutor! It’s a Friday weekday today, but there aren’t that many people around. Now I’m heading into this place called Amu Plaza. It seriously feels like Hawaii in Japan. Even the colors are super cute! Here’s what kind of shops they have inside Amu Plaza. There’s restaurants, gift shops, little lifestyle stores— Ooh what’s this? “Traffic Shrine – Amu Sora”? Let’s go check it out! Wait, hold on… It’s already 9:18 PM… They’re closed for the day 😩 That steak looked soooo good too… Wanted to try it, but nope—closed! Now I’m craving Yakiniku or something… Yup. I wanna eat. What should I do? *Combo attack of cravings* Alright! Let’s find a place for some Yakiniku! Since I’m here, I really wanna try Miyazaki beef. Let’s look up a restaurant that serves it. So what even *is* Miyazaki beef? In short— It’s premium-grade black wagyu raised in Miyazaki. It’s known for its sweet fat, and it’s not greasy— it’s super tender, like it melts without even chewing! How can you not want that?! I mean after hearing that… there’s no way I can resist! Please tell me something’s still open! In situations like this, I always rely on my one and only friend—AI. Okay! Found one! I’m going with this place. I’ve just stepped inside the restaurant— and surprise! It’s a fully private room! Can’t believe I found a place like this during my Japan road trip! A whole private room like this… It’s my first time since Kaikatsu (a manga cafe)… I’m kinda nervous 😳 I owe this to all of your likes and support 💖 Seriously, thank you so much! Today, I’m gonna stuff myself with Miyazaki beef— I mean, um, I’ll *review* it properly! I’ll give you a full-on food report too! I’m gonna do my best with the food review too! Alright, time to eat until my belly’s totally stuffed— Let’s goooo! The hardest part… is pressing that call button, right? Welp… here goes nothing. *Self-destruct mode activated* Excuse me! Um, hi— I’d like to place an order… One 130g cut of Chateaubriand, please— and the lean meat sampler with 4 kinds. And I’ll take one draft b—wait… *Almost slipped up! 😱* Anyway, that’ll be all for now, thanks! Ugh, I was so nervous… But I somehow managed to order! Alright, time for fancy yakiniku— Kanpai! (I think?) Let’s keep it classy, shall we? Even the glass is so thin—makes the Coke taste fancier. Here comes the lean meat sampler! Ichibo, Kamenoko, Rump, and Shinshin cuts. I’m gonna do a little taste test! But just this costs like $25… It’s pricey, but… it better be amazing. Alright, let’s start with the beef fat base layer. Tonight’s dinner shall be— extra refined and elegant, darling. Now then, I shall begin grilling the meat. We’ll start with the Ichibo cut first. You really shouldn’t overcook expensive wagyu like this— So let’s just do a quick sear, shall we? Maybe… like this much? *Only Suneo’s mom talks like this* Itadakimasu~ OMG YUM!! There’s barely any fat on it but it still melts in your mouth! So soft and flavorful. So this is Miyazaki beef… Totally hooked now. Seriously, it’s insanely good! Like… dangerously good. Next, let’s try the Kamenoko and Rump cuts. Here’s the Rump! The rump’s the thickest of the bunch. How do I even describe this… It’s just… ridiculously delicious. Might have just found a new No.1 in my Japan Food Trip Rankings. Well, I’d been saving the top spot anyway. But this totally deserves to be #2 now! Yeah… Miyazaki beef is on a whole other level. And here comes the 130g Chateaubriand! How do you even eat this? Do they give you scissors or something? Maybe I’ll just toss it on the grill like this. Oh—it’s already cut! Don’t worry, I’m not the one who snapped 😆 What the heck… was that magic? *From this point on, you’re viewing from a blissed-out POV* Alright then… time to taste the Chateaubriand. HOLY YUMMMM… WHAT EVEN IS THIS Delicious~ *hums with joy* It’s like… fluffy and melty at the same time. It’s insanely good. I can’t. This is TOO good… This place is a total must-visit. Or maybe Miyazaki beef is just that powerful? It’s my first time trying Miyazaki beef and I’m seriously SHOOK. And just like that… it’s the last bite. Time really does fly when you’re happy. That was unbelievably delicious. I arrived in Miyazaki this morning and now it’s almost 11pm… I’ve been sightseeing literally all day. Man, I moved around a LOT. It was really fun though, but there are still some places I haven’t hit yet. So for the first time ever… I’m gonna roll those over to tomorrow! I’ve still got budget left too. So I’m totally gonna enjoy tomorrow as well. I’ll be crashing in my van tonight, and getting ready for another full day. Thank you for the meal! That was seriously amazing. I’m soooo satisfied right now. After finishing dinner, I drove a little ways and made it to this auto campsite. I’ve got my fully customized mini van, so I’m sleeping here tonight. All charged up and good to go! This setup seriously feels like a secret base. And I’m traveling in this little thing! Okay… I’ve reached my limit for today, so I’m gonna get some sleep now. Goodnight, guys 💤 Good morning! I slept in the van, took a bath, and even did my makeup. Ready to go! Honestly, I slept super well. Totally knocked out. So, here we go—Miyazaki Day 2! Let’s do this! Heading out now! So last night, I stayed at this auto campsite. It wasn’t famous or anything—I just picked it randomly. Somewhere I could park and sleep in my van, and hopefully take a bath too—so I searched and found this place. So I gave it a shot. It was 20 bucks for the night, so super budget-friendly and affordable. Now I’m headed to Aoshima Shrine, which is on a tiny island. Apparently, they even call it the “Island of the Gods.” But since it’s an island, you can’t drive there. I’ll have to park nearby and walk to it. I’m using my phone for GPS right now, because the car’s navigation broke. There was a screen protector on it, so I peeled it off… Turns out that “protector” was a super important film. Like, the kind that actually detects touch. I had no idea and ripped it off. Now the screen doesn’t respond at all… disaster 😱 Are we near the ocean now? It totally looks like the sea on that side. Wow… this really does feel like Hawaii in Japan. Looks like I’m almost at the parking lot. Hope there’s a spot open… There’s a sweet old lady guiding cars. Thank you so much! *Thanks to that sweet lady, I parked perfectly* I parked the car and now I’m walking toward Aoshima Shrine. But wow—look at this gorgeous view! It’s incredible… It just started raining a little. The lady at the parking lot told me, “Make sure to bring an umbrella!” She said it can suddenly pour like a waterfall 😂 So yeah… I’m kinda scared now. Honestly, if it does pour like a waterfall, it’s probably my fault. *With all these palm trees, it doesn’t even feel like Japan* It’s totally tropical out here. If it were sunny, this would look even more amazing. To everyone in Miyazaki Prefecture— I’m so sorry… the rain girl has arrived… *No seriously, I’m sorry 😭* I can see the torii gate over there! Can you spot it? It’s tiny, but it’s there! Still kinda hard to see though. Oh no… it’s seriously pouring like a waterfall! What do I even do?! Once I get to Aoshima Shrine, I’m gonna pray to stop being a rain magnet… Please fix this reverse “Weathering With You” situation! I see the bridge up ahead. You can see the torii gate just across that bridge. It’s pouring but I’m walking through it like a champ. This bridge I’m on right now is called Yayoi Bridge. The rain just won’t stop! But the view is still totally amazing. Look at these rocks—so wild! They’re called “Ogre’s Washboard” apparently. *And thanks to the rain, we’re getting a rinse too!* Finally made it to the front of the torii gate! Took about 15 minutes to walk here. Alrighty, let’s head in! Aoshima Shrine is known for love and romance blessings, and also for safe travels! It’s kinda famous for that! Since I travel a lot, it’s totally perfect for me. Gonna pray for a safe journey now! This shrine is seriously cute, like something straight outta a tropical island. So divine and sacred. Apparently today is “Ichiryumanbaibi.” It’s a super lucky day to start new things! Like a new job or a fresh project. Or even spending money! It’s all good luck today! But the bad luck stuff is like, borrowing money or asking people for things. So today I’m staying within budget—no debt for me! Totally sticking to my spending limit. Let’s start by purifying my hands. Look how cool this place is! I think I’ll stop filming for now. It’s a sacred place after all. Bringing a camera inside just feels kinda disrespectful. I’m the type who respects that stuff, you know? Okay, hands are clean now, so I’m off to say my prayers. See you in a bit! Here’s a small shrine in the center of the island. I’m gonna cut the camera again for this part. Time to say another little prayer. I got myself a lucky charm! It’s pink with palm trees—so cute! Hope it brings me all the happiness! *Fast-track prayer activated* All that walking made me super hungry, so it’s time for some lunch! I left Aoshima Shrine and now I’m in front of Miyazaki Station. This is JR Kyushu Hotel, and I’m heading to a restaurant on the second floor. Here it is—“Gunkei”! Here’s a peek at the menu. They specialize in Miyazaki jidori chicken— it’s a local free-range breed from Miyazaki! It’s a chain restaurant, but only found in Miyazaki apparently. So I figured, why not check it out while I’m here? Hmm, what should I get? Alright, decided! I got a Hyuganatsu citrus juice to drink! Cheers~ It’s super refreshing and easy to drink. First up, I ordered some “Mouthwatering Chicken.” It looks so good I’m actually drooling… Let’s dig in! Oh—spicy!! It’s got a serious kick. But it’s insanely good. That sauce is fire if you put too much on! Gonna go easy from now on. OMG it’s sooo good. Oh no, the drool is real… *Guess that’s why it’s called Mouthwatering Chicken* YUMMMM Aoshima Shrine was amazing. Just wish it hadn’t been pouring the whole time… But I got a super cute charm, and walking that sacred path was so fun too. It really felt like a shrine floating on the ocean. Such a surreal vibe. It was pouring when I got there, but it cleared up on the way back. Maybe I should’ve gone a little later… But then again, I’m such a rain girl it probably would’ve rained no matter what time I went. *Wherever I go, rain follows* Here comes the charcoal grilled Miyazaki jidori! It looks absolutely delicious! It said this one’s the top recommendation, so I had to try it! Hope it’s yummy! Yummm~ (humming) It’s seriously so good! It looks super burnt, which scared me a little, but wow, it tastes amazing! It’s got a nice bite, but not too tough, and the more you chew, the more flavor you get! So tasty! This makes me wanna drink, honestly. Oh yeah— on the way from Aoshima Shrine to Miyazaki Station, I actually saw a monkey! I was driving and thought it was a cat at first, but then I looked closer—it was a monkey! He was holding fruit and his face was all red! *First time seeing a wild monkey—totally shocked!* The roads in Miyazaki are just so nice to drive on, it’s really fun to be behind the wheel here. That was amazing—thank you for the food! Everything was super delicious! I’m so satisfied after eating all that Jitokko chicken. Time to wrap it up with a little selfie! Yaaay! Back in the car now! Oh, right— there was a souvenir shop at the end, and I totally caved and bought some goodies. Hyuganatsu cheese tart cake! Doesn’t it look crazy delicious!? Gonna eat it later for sure. Also got this grilled chicken plushie! Isn’t it adorable? The grilled chicken was just too good—I had to get it! I’ve been collecting little souvenirs on this Japan trip, like this one from Gunma, this one’s from Kyoto, and this one’s from Akita! Now this grilled chicken plushie joins the crew! Welcome to the team, lil’ BBQ chicken! You can’t really see them all, but I actually have them displayed all over the place. Now, where should I put this new one… Alright, this spot is perfect! *Open to nickname suggestions for my grilled chicken buddy!* Alrighty, time for the big reveal… How much did I actually spend on this trip? The total amount I spent was… ¥22,860 — about $145! *First time ever I didn’t blow through my budget!* Usually I end up barely scraping by, but thanks to all your likes this time, I got to splurge a little! And I still have ¥6,240 left—around $40, so I’ll roll that over to the next prefecture! Seriously, I had so much fun in Miyazaki! I loooove warm places, and I’m obsessed with fruits and meat, so this place was basically made for me! I’m still deciding where to go next, so if you’ve got any suggestions— or want me to visit your prefecture— drop a comment, please! I’m waiting~ 💕 And don’t forget to hit that like button! I wanna eat more delicious meat too 😋 *Praying for lightning-fast likes!* Thanks for watching till the end You’re the best 💖 Please don’t forget to subscribe, leave a comment, and like the video!
