Hosts Japan were drawn with South Africa, Mexico, France in Group A of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic men’s football tournament on Wednesday.
Defending champions Brazil were placed in Group D with Germany, Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia.
On the women’s draw, hosts Japan are in Group E with Canada, Britain and Chile while gold medal favourites the United States were drawn into Group G with Sweden, Australia and New Zealand.
Defending women’s Olympic champions Germany failed to qualify for the Tokyo Summer Olympic football tournament, which is scheduled to run from July 21st to August 7th.
