university [Music] brunai dor sloan [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hallelujah [Music] ladies and gentlemen thailand [Applause] [Music] [Applause] woo [Applause] heat [Music] [Applause] heat heat [Music] to come and was the baby [Music] was the baby [Music] oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] heat heat heat [Applause] heat [Music] your royal highness distinguished guest and official and athletes it is a great pleasure for me and for my fellow colleagues from fisu the international university sport federation to welcome you to the opening ceremony of the 24th summer olympic summer university odd here in bangkok we are very pleased and honored that this university odd is being held to commemorate the 80th birthday celebration of his majesty the king of thailand all of fefu’s worldwide membership joins me in wishing his majesty a very happy birthday and to thank him for allowing us to be a part of his celebration as you stand in this beautiful stadium this evening you are about to embark on a journey that in most cases only happens once in a lifetime even though the journey may be of short duration approximately 10 days it will allow you the opportunity to meet your fellow university students from around the world as you are all housed in the athletes village it is my final hope that each day you will make a new friend seek out a person male or female from your area of the globe that you are not familiar with arrange to share a meal or better still find a quiet place in the village where you can have a healthy discussion which will make each of you more aware of what each can do in his or her country as a university student to make the world a better place for all try it you will find it to be most rewarding in closing let me extend my sincere thanks to mr whitick minister of education and his staff along with mr punzai chairman of the national university sports federation of thailand and all of our friends at the university of thomas for their efforts in the organization of this university i also want to thank each of you who have come from the far corners of the globe to compete in this university honor i hope each of you will have enjoyed your stay in bangkok and that you will return to your homeland with many pleasant memories for your from your experiences here at the 24th summer university now ladies and gentlemen i have the honor to give the floor to the crown prince for the official opening hono [Music] hello hello hello hello [Music] let’s [Music] go hey [Music] hey hey hey hey hey hey hey [Music] hang on [Music] [Applause] heat [Music]
