=LOVE’s most iconic idol song (Ikorabu no Ikorafu ENG SUB)
R&D Presents. =LOVE’s Ikolaugh. Good evening. I’m Noguchi Iori from =LOVE. I’m Otani Emiri. I’m Saito Kiara. =LOVE’s Ikolaugh. In this show, we, =LOVE, aim to be casual and get lots of laughs, meaning it’s a program where we deliver a time just filled with laughter. This week, the three of us will be your hosts. Looking forward to it! Let’s have a good one! So, you know, something recently surprised me. It’s actually written here too, but Pop-Up Pirate changed its rules for its 50th anniversary. I saw this, yeah, maybe in the news or floating around online, and I was just like, “Whoa!” That was my reaction. Yeah, I was so surprised. For real? That’s amazing. I mean, it’s the 50th anniversary, right? That’s incredible in itself, but how exactly did the rules change? The way we always thought, if he pops out, you lose. Right, right, right, right. That’s how it was, wasn’t it? Exactly. Like, if he burst out—bam!—you were out. But apparently, they changed it so if he pops out, you win. Whoa, so it’s the complete opposite now? Seriously? Yep, for the 50th anniversary. But wasn’t that the original rule, like, the standard way? Seems like it was, but at some point, it changed to being a loss. Is that right? So it went back to how it was originally? Huh? Apparently so. But we’re just so used to thinking, you know, if he pops out, you lose. With those things, I’m the type to try one spot and he’ll pop out on the very first go. You guys have seen me do that, right? Yeah, pretty much. Yep, I’m actually good at it, you know! Making him pop out. So, if the rules changed, that means…? Does this mean I’ve actually become the world’s best Pop-Up Pirate player? Could be! Oh, for sure. Huh? Seriously? Since that’s the case, I’m, like, super happy about it. Let’s play! I wanna play with everyone and show off my skills! With the new rules, right? Let’s play again sometime. I really wanna play it. I can totally do it! I might just win this time! Yeah. So, like, did you guys used to play these kinds of party games or board games? I did. We played them a lot, yeah. Didn’t they have them at the dentist’s office a lot? Like Banken Gaogao and stuff. Huh? At the dentist’s? I just picture them being at the dentist’s. Oh, you don’t? Like the crocodile one, you know, with the teeth. Because it’s a dentist? Teeth? The one where you press its teeth, right? Yeah, yeah, that’s the one. I kinda remember them having a bunch of board games there. Oh, really? Not so much for me. They have, like, a kids’ play area, but… There’s usually just one random thing there. Ah, true, true. Along with, like, building blocks and stuff. Yeah, like building blocks. Actually, I don’t really play them much at home. Did you? You played them? Oh, interesting. We had them at my place, and at my grandma’s too. Everyone in my family just loves games. Oh, wow. So, like Othello or card games. That’s pretty cool. We were always battling it out as a family. Whoa, you sound tough. Yeah, I bet you’re good then. But we haven’t really played Othello or anything like that with the other members, have we? True. But we do have some board games at the agency, you know. Yeah, yeah, we do. Anna bought some for us, and they just keep adding up, huh? Like when we all play them at the end of the year. Yeah, that happens. Definitely. This year, I wanna do more with the members, more of that kind of stuff, though maybe not board games. Let’s do it! I wanna. We go through so many fads, you know. How should I put it? Oh, like how card games got super popular, right? They were popular recently, yeah. Right, this time let’s make board games a trend. So, getting a head start, then. Well then, =LOVE’s Ikolaugh, Please stay with us until 8 PM tonight. Once again, good evening. I’m Noguchi Iori from =LOVE. I’m Otani Emiri. I’m Saito Kiara. This hour, we’re bringing you =LOVE’s Ikolaugh. Yep. So, let’s read some emails. Okay. Okay, first up is one from radio name Marshall-san. Thank you very much. On a recent broadcast of Professional Ranking, in their ‘Top Idol Songs Chosen by 186 Idols from Past and Present’ list, =LOVE’s ‘Zettai Idol Yamenaide’ ranked 10th. That’s awesome. Thank you. To have an =LOVE song included among so many other idols, so many legends, made me so happy. When you think of classic idol songs, what comes to mind for you all? So happy about that. I was so surprised by this. I saw it on the news and was like, huh? Something like that, yeah. I saw Hana’s tweet and found out, then I switched channels and started watching, and I was so happy. It made it in, for sure. It’s such an honor, really. And, like, Fortune Cookie was 9th, yeah, yeah, that’s right. Seeing them listed together just made me happy. I made a heart gesture right then. I made it for the ranking, for our rank, but yeah, I was so happy. Hey, what was the question again? When it comes to idol songs? For me, from AKB48’s songs, what I loved was ‘Heavy Rotation’, Totally. And like, do you like ‘Limiketto’? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I loved it. Mhm, I know what you mean. When you say ‘idols,’ AKB48 is the first thing that pops into your head, right? And we know so many of their songs. That’s true. Well, for me, I’d already seen the ranking, on TV. But yeah, the one that made me think, ‘Oh, I totally get this one,’ was ‘Hatsukoi Cider’. Oh, that’s so true. Totally. Seriously, every idol knows it, and we’ve even gotten to cover it, sometimes. You know. Haven’t we ever done it? We haven’t done Hatsukoi Cider. We have our own songs, and then there’s ramen and stuff, though. But like, the voices of those three legends are just so incredibly good, right? Mhm. Great song. Can’t leave that one out. Yeah. Let’s see… idol songs, right? Man, there are so many. Oh, is this, like… Are 2D idols okay to mention? Sure, why not? Of course they are. I wanna hear. That too. Oh? Let’s see. THE IDOLM@STER. From IDOLM@STER, which I love, “Onegai! Cinderella,” I guess. It was just so sparkly. They had those commercials and stuff way back, too, yeah. Even people who don’t know IDOLM@STER know that song, so I really like it. Man, there are so many. Yeah, when you hear those classic songs I also grew up with… It just makes your heart all sparkly, right? I totally know what you mean. It gives you life. Yeah, they have this power that just gives you energy. Idol songs really do give you so much energy, don’t they? So wonderful, so wonderful. Yeah, idols, no matter the era, they’re always… I really felt that they become this source of emotional support for everyone. They really do. Right. So, with that, shall we read another email? Yes, please. Okay. This one’s from radio name RikaRika-chan. Thank you! Good evening, =LOVE! Good evening! Congrats on your Inkigayo Live performance at Tokyo Dome on April 13th! Thank you so much! I came straight from your Fukuoka concert the day before, listening to “Egao no Recipe” on my way to the venue, and… The moment I saw Tokyo Dome, my heart wouldn’t stop pounding with excitement. I was so moved to see =LOVE take the stage at Tokyo Dome. Around my seat, there were a lot of people there for other artists, but… they kept saying “They’re so cute” or “Wow, they’re great singers.” I somehow ended up feeling all proud, like I was showing them off. That’s great. After ‘Zettai Idol Yamenaide’ finished, they were like, “That performance was incredible.” Some people also said the lyrics really resonated with them. It just showed how incredible =LOVE’s power is. Can’t wait for the next concert. So, thanks for that. Thank you. This email. For us, that day was right after our Fukuoka show, of course. That’s pretty intense. We must have still been tired, but more than that, when we all traveled together, and so many fans came along too, it really made me feel so grateful all over again. It was incredible to perform at Tokyo Dome, but I really got how the fans felt, thinking, “I’m going
‘cause I wanna see =LOVE on the Tokyo Dome stage.” That made me so incredibly happy. I was so happy. How was it? Being up there. Ehhh! It was just… huge! That’s what it felt like. Huge, huh? Oh yeah, totally. ‘Cause it was from the center stage. And making our entrance from below was pretty cool, too. True, everyone likely thought we’d appear
from the main stage or the usual entrance, so some people were like, “Whoa!” when we appeared from below, right in front of them. That makes me happy. It wasn’t like an entrance you could only do in a huge venue, but… It was so moving, y’know? How do I put it… And that day, at Tokyo Dome, the sheer size was one thing, of course, but also… the lineup of artists was incredible, seriously. It was just mind-blowing to be able to perform with them. These are artists we adore, so seeing =LOVE’s name
among them was just unreal. It felt surreal, didn’t it? Seriously. Really. Like, is this really Tokyo Dome? That was the feeling. Seeing fans’ comments, it finally hit me,
like, “Wow, we really performed there.” That’s when it truly sank in. I’ve seared that unforgettable view into my memory, so I’ll always treasure it. Yeah, I want to keep it safe in my heart, like a treasure. I know some fans were on the fence about going, too. Like, “Should I go? But…” So, seeing all the different ways fans showed their love, it just made me realize how kind everyone is. It really warmed my heart. It did. So =LOVE can perform at big venues again, we’ve gotta work hard too, right? gotta work even harder. Yeah. Totally. That’s how it made us feel. For real. So, with that, here’s a song. =LOVE, “Zettai Idol Yamenaide.”
=LOVE’s Ikolaugh. Well, it’s about time for us to wrap up. Man, that got a little emotional, didn’t it? Yeah, that was a great topic today. Today’s Ikolaugh really made me feel the connection between idols and their fans. It was one of those episodes that makes you really appreciate how great idols are.
