Shiraishi Kôji is a great director, and a very good technician: he’s the world’s specialist of found footage genre, but he can direct very good “real” movies too. The last action scene of A Beast in Love (2020) is very good for instance, it is well paced and cut, quite impressive despite the low budget of the movie. Honestly it’s far better than some action scenes in big budget movies or tv shows…
I cut the scene before it’s “real” ending, because there are still some surprises after… A Beast in Love is far from perfect but it’s a strange and interesting movie. Bravo Mister Shiraishi!
