Located inside Upopoy, the National Ainu Museum is Japan’s first national museum dedicated to the history and culture of the indigenous Ainu people.
The permanent exhibition features six major themes from the Ainu point of view: “Our Language”, “Our History”, “Our Universe”, “Our Work”, “Our Lives”, and “Our Exchange”.
Visitors can also enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Lake Poroto from the Observation Deck.
