NHK Trophy 2021 is underway this weekend. It was supposed to be the most anticipated ISU Grand Prix event this month as that would have been the first appearance of Yuzuru Hanyu in the Olympic season, and he had announced he would attempt 4A here. Then.. he was unfortunately injured and had to withdraw from the NHK Trophy. Everything just went south from there. A few days later, Rika Kihira also announced withdrawal, then Sasha Trusova, all due to injury. While we are watching the skating competition this week, let’s remember the skaters out of the competition. We wish all skaters speedy recovery! Get well soon!
