Here we have it, the final performance as well as the credits to Chisato’s Lucky 7 LIVE concert remastered to 4K! It starts off with one final chat with the audience before moving on to the last song, Concert Night!
I wish I could say this ended on a good note, but unfortunately, around this time of the concert Chisato couldn’t handle the rising pain of her developing temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction symptoms no longer, to the point of her feeling that harsh pain while she sang this song both physically and emotionally… Causing various lines of this song showing her in tears and on occasion, flat out skipped due to how much pain she was feeling in her jaw at that moment.
This might be due to the Lucky 7 Tour being Chisato’s biggest tour yet and also was a historic moment in general as she became the first female artist to perform in every prefecture in Japan. As such, It’s very likely that the rigorous touring took its toll on her body. I’m just mostly impressed she could hold all that pain in until the finale. The audience was thankfully understanding and supportive throughout all this too, cheering and singing along with her in an attempt to keep her spirits up. When the song’s over, she flat out breaks into tears during her final encore… Closing off the night with an instrumental of Watarasebashi that plays during the credits.
To make matters worse, this health issue in her jaw caused her to cancel her next tour and go on a hiatus for about 3 years so she could take some time to recover. It’s not all bad news though, as she did indeed come back to her career after that with DO THE BEST in 1996.
I hope you all enjoyed the 4K remastering of Lucky 7, DO THE BEST is next!
