モデルで女優の堀田茜さんが、美しくスタイリッシュなヘアスタイルの著名人を選出する「BEAUTY WEEK AWARD 2017」の女優部門を受賞し、8月29日、東京都内で行われた授賞式に出席した。
授賞式に出席した堀田さんは「こういった（美容関係の）賞をいただくのが初めて。少しずつ女優のお仕事も始めていて、女優部門（での受賞）というのもうれしい」とにっこり。この日の髪形について、「普段からウエーブヘアをすることが多いんですけれど、全体的に巻くのではなく、カジュアルに抜け感を出しました」といい、「髪の毛の量が多いので、全部巻くと頑張った感じになる。全体のバランスを見ながら、身長とかも意識して調節しています」とこだわりを明かしていた。
同賞は、NPO法人美容週間振興協議会が9月4日の「くしの日」を中心に行っているキャンペーン「美容週間」の啓発のため2004年にスタート。これまで、長澤まさみさん（06年）、堀北真希さん（07年）、戸田恵梨香さん（11年）、「AKB48」の渡辺麻友さん（14年）、「HKT48」の指原莉乃さん（16年）らが受賞した。今年は堀田さんのほか、男優部門で千葉雄大さんが選ばれた。

Akane Hotta, smiled and said “I will be aware of the balance of height and hairstyle” when receiving “Beautiful Hairstyle”
Actress and model Akane Hotta, who was awarded the “BEAUTY WEEK AWARD 2017″(which celebrates the celebrity with beautiful and trendy hairstyle in the actress list) participated in the awards ceremony held in Tokyo on August 29.
Presented in the awards ceremony, Akane Hotta smiled and said, “This is the first time that I have received a beauty award. I am happy to take one-by-one step to become an actress and be credited in the actress award list”. Talking about her hairstyle that day, she said, “Usually I have my hair wavy, but I will not curve them all because it makes me feel “nukekan” which is comfortable and simple. She also revealed “Because the quantity of hair is quite large, it is a bit too much for the entirely wavy hairstyle. I must be aware of the overall balance of height … to adjust it” .
