ご視聴ありがとうございます ♪ 和訳と歌詞を下記に載せています ✐ リリースされた時から大好きな「ナッシングス・ゴナ・チェンジ・マイ・ラヴ・フォー・ユー」（邦題：変わらぬ想い）に初挑戦してみました ♡ 美しいメロディーといい歌詞といい、80年代を代表する究極のバラードです ♬ 原曲は、ジョージ・ベンソンですが、1987年にメデイロスがカバーしたことで世界中でヒットしました。今さらながら知ったことは、ジェリー・ゴフィン(Gerry Goffin) とマイケル・マッサー(Michael Masser)作による曲だということです。それにしても、好きな曲の多くにマイケル・マッサーの名前を見かけるので、「80年代のバラードの名曲にはマイケル・マッサーあり」と言っても過言ではありません ☃ この曲はハワイ州出身の歌手、グレン・メデイロスがカバー曲としてデビューし、イギリスではヒットチャートの1位になりました。日本ではジョージ・ベンソンよりもグレン・メデイロスの曲の方がよく知られています。スバル自動車のレガシィのCMでは、鈴木雅之さんがカバーを歌っています。とても昔なので思い込みかもしれませんが、フジテレビかTBS の夜6時頃のニュースの天気コーナーでの挿入曲として流れていた記憶があります。そのニュースでこの曲を初めて知った気がします。

Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You by Glenn Medeiros released in 1987. Glenn Alan Medeiros is an American educator and a former singer and songwriter of Portuguese descent who achieved chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. After his musical career he taught and is now vice-principal at the Maryknoll School, a parochial school in his native Honolulu, Hawaii. It is a song written by composers Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. It was originally recorded by American singer and guitarist George Benson for his studio album 20/20, released by Warner Bros. Records. This original version was produced by co-writer Masser, and was released as a single in Europe only in 1985. Two years later, the song received greater exposure through a re-recording by Hawaiian singer Glenn Medeiros, whose 1987 cover eventually topped the charts in several countries.
