【この人すごい…】日本の芸能人の英語を聞いた外国人が大仰天!!

Hey, hey, hey. Welcome back to the channel. I’m Hrik. I’m Megan. And joining us today is Maran. Hi. So, Maruchan, what are we watching today? Okay. I mean, do you are you familiar with like Japanese actors and actresses? Some. Okay, a few. Okay, which ones? Um, I am a Goriki. Okay, I know her. Uh, oh my gosh, who else? I like a lot of bands, but I don’t really know the members names. I see. I see. I only know Ken Watav. Like, that’s the only guy that I know of. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. But, you know, I feel like it’s going to be interesting to hear them, you know, speak English. Yeah, definitely. First off, do you know? No. Familiar actually. Japanese super idol. I only know faces. I don’t know names. I’m sorry. Similar for me. Yeah. Hello. This is Kokomi. I’m a flirtist and as well as a model in Japan. Today I would like to introduce what’s in my lady Dior. So first of all it would be chocolate. She’s got an accent. She does kind of sweet. I get sleepy all the time. So I just need sugar. It’s so like posh. I know, right? English accent. So a Okay. And this is a memory from a trip to France. It’s from the music and I wa Okay. She speaks another language too. And this is my favorite character from my one of my favorite anime. He’s called Meumi. I like to have my anime with me because I just feel good with it. That’s my schedule notebook. And she’s just a girl. She’s just And this is my must have items because I forget my schedule all the time. My hair brush. It’s Japanese traditional hairbrush. It’s called Sugushi. Oh, that’s so cute. I love the cage. It really makes your hair look healthier. I also have my favorite novel with me today by one of my favorite authors. Oh my gosh. Women’s bags. It’s like a treasure trove of everything. And you have to have you have to be prepared. It’s a really heartwarming story. I read it whenever I feel a bit stressed and it really calms me down. Her English has like an accent, right? Yeah. She sounded like she studied like British English. I know. Yeah. Yeah. I felt like she’s kind of a native when you just see her speaking English. Yeah. The only thing is she sometimes paused a little before saying one word or something. So, not exactly native, but very close. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Now, for her sister. Oh, Chris Woo. You know Chris Woo. And when I got the offer, when from the moment I got the offer, I was extremely nervous. But um when I told Chris about how I was really nervous the first time, he said that there was nothing to be worried about and I can just say the way I am. So I was really relieved from his words in this music video. So for Chris, he has totally different look. So one is the Asian look and one is modern. So you sorry I got distracted to describe each look. For the ancient, I think it would be fearless. And for the modern look, I think it would be a strong British accent, actually. Yeah. Even stronger than her sister, I think. So, as a model, the modeling work the first time. So, the first time I did the modeling work was for the cover shooting with L um last year. But before the shooting day, the night before, I remember being really, really nervous. And I suddenly thought that, oh, is this the right timing to start or is it too early for me? And then when I asked my mom, she said that whenever you think you’re ready to start, is the moment the right moment. So, I was really able to start from that point. Yeah. Her face doesn’t show like you know, she speaks that fluent of English. She works internationally, so she must have to practice even more, even harder. Yeah. And she’s doing fantastic, too. Honestly, I mean, damn. The sisters, honestly, in terms of rating, like if we were to rate their English, I would say they are basically native. Yeah, I would agree. Like, I think they because they have an accent, it makes me feel like they’re really like they they were born in the UK or something. That’s true. Yeah. international school. Oh, British. Yeah, makes sense. Yeah, that’s why she has an accent. That makes sense. Yeah. You know, a lot of people wonder why I have a very American accent. Yeah. It’s because I come from an intern kind of an international school, too. Yeah. Honestly, when I first met him, I thought he was American. So, how long were they in the school? when if they went to international school since middle school, it makes a lot of sense that they sound like that. Just a hint of a British accent. Just a hint. Just a hint. I I would really appreciate it. I’m curious how long they were in in international school because normally that’s not it’s not natural. Only for a short time. So, I’m thinking middle school or something they they were in there. If you guys know, put it in the comments below. I give them a native out of 10. Native out of 10. Okay. Okay. Okay. I would say like 9.5. Damn. 9.5 out of 10. Why the.5 though? I I feel like just some there was some hesitancy. Besides that, they sounded like perfectly fluent. So, I know it’s crazy. I mean, I I grew up in an international school with a bunch of mixed uh people. And I would say it’s on the par with people I’ve met before, so it’s kind of familiar to me that someone who’s half Asian fully who how do you say the study abroad, they do sound like that. Okay. I see. I see. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, they were very good. So yeah, really really good. All right. Are you familiar with Anson? I don’t think so. I’m not sure. Me neither. Now, let’s rate his English. Thank you for the picture. You draw it. Me and my children. It was so happy. That’s my treasure. My treasure message. Thank you so much. Oh, thank you. No, and I’m so I’m so happy you’re in the film. You’re magnificent. Yeah, they they grew up and maybe they will uh watch this movie maybe later. M she’s obviously like has a good like base for English because she it was like an impromptu kind of inter or like talking interview. So yeah. Yeah, there was like some accent but it wasn’t bad. Yeah, that’s true. Um honestly and she used words that like a lot of natives use cuz people don’t say like oh my treasure. Yeah, definitely. It’s so emotional. She definitely I feel like she has read some literature or something. Yeah, for sure. For sure. Yeah. It sounds like my grandparents when they speak English. They’re Japanese, by the way. Okay. Okay. Like like a rate her like a number. It’s hard to rate after it’s so short. Yeah. [Laughter] Yeah. Where is she from? Or what does she do? I mean, she’s from Japan, but she lived in New York for quite a long time, right? Yeah. I see. I like her. Okay. Thank you for making such a, you know, a uh a heroic trip back from Los Angeles. I could have just interviewed you in Los Angeles. That’s the only That was that was what I you know, but but the whole point today was um that we’re in this beautiful new studio. Correct. It’s just I literally I heard that when my team came to s like check out the studio, they were still like hammering and putting up stuff. We don’t really We don’t talk. No, no. It’s been ready for weeks. Just magically unfolded itself. There’s no one under here right now like hammering and talking, right? She sounds native. I know. It’s so expressive, too. I love it. Yeah. I don’t know how to explain it, but her body language shows that she speaks English. That is actually true. You know what I mean? She’s very a lot more open. Yeah. And expressive. Yeah. A lot of hand gestures, too. Yeah. Very American. [Music] to to go back and uh to know what would be there for me sort of just to be a bit more familiar. Yeah. Um and and it was nice to be in a small I mean when I went um was it two years ago or 22 so 3 years ago. It felt pretty hectic because we were a big group. Yeah. 88 rising right? Yeah. It was just like a crazy party the whole time and there was changes happening everywhere and so many artists um it was very stimulating. Yeah. So it was a very different experience for me just working with ARCA. It must have been crazy if you consider an ARCA show to be mellow after that. No literally it’s funny. Yeah. Doing a podcast as a non-native Yeah. is really impressive. You know it takes a lot to riff. You know what I mean? It really does. Yeah. like doing jokes with another person, especially during a podcast. She’s really good at it. Yeah. I mean, podcast, even though she’s doing a lot of gestures, only relies obviously on her speaking skills. So, yeah, you’re right. You’re right. It You would think it would be the opposite. Um, but I I’m not I guess I just feel it felt a bit more personal because I I just feel a bit more comfortable naturally in like a smaller I’m not great at like big gatherings and having a lot of people around. Yeah. And maybe maybe AR is like that too. We just had like uh time like a bit of downtime and like her manager is down. Everybody they say that she creates this amazing herself quite well. Yeah. Even from the first like sentence she said literally I was like she sounds native native to the US or something. Have you watched her interviews before? No, I actually haven’t. Um only like heard listened to her singing and Oh, I see. Yeah, that’s really impressive too. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, she looks like a like she feels like a New Yorker. She does. She really does. That’s crazy. Yeah. Do you have any information? Cuz her English is really good. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, everyone’s from an international school here, right? What song do you like? First love. I love First Love. I’ve never listened to her. I’m so sorry. I got to put Hendrick on. First Love. Yeah, of course. If you love any of her songs, put in the comment below. Yeah. No, I love her. She’s great. honestly like podcasts like long form like audios so it’s like an hour or two hours. The fact that she can keep up that well. I think she’s basically a native out of 10 as well. Yeah. No, I definitely agree. Um I didn’t realize she was born in the US. I just thought she had lived in New York for a bit. So it makes sense to me. I know. Like her energy expels New Yorker. Exactly. But really it does. So yes. Do you know? I only know Ken Watanav. Maybe I know her face, but I’m not sure. Okay. Okay. Well, we’ll have to see in the video. Yeah. In New York City after your debut show. Yeah. I’m so excited. Very familiar, actually. And the two shows. Am I so a little bit tired? First of all, you are a woman of many, many talents. You’re a comedian. You’re a fashion designer. You’re an entertainer. How would you describe yourself? Uh comedian just comedian. My job is bass is comedian and put uh fashion acting dancing singer. Yeah. But bas having a hard time expressing about but got the ideas. Funny funny funny funny acting funny dancing. Yeah. Everything. I want to read you some uh some things that have been written about you in the media. You have been described as a global sensation, as someone who is outspoken and determined, and someone who is revolutionizing how body image is talked about in Japan. What do you think of those? Are they true? Do they sound conversation true to you? I don’t know. But maybe the people think about the Japanese girl like the skinny and tiny, but I’m not skinny. Not tiny. Some people say like, “Oh my god, you’re fat. Don’t Don’t wearing skirt. Don’t wearing Don’t show me your arm.” People say that to me put you down. How do you respond? Oh yeah. Bye. Yeah, she seems very like her listening seems good. She could answer her questions well, especially for like kind of a deep topic. Yeah, that’s true. I feel like there were certain things that she she had a harder time expressing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But she could still get her point across. I think I’m guessing Much Chan, she never went to international school, right? Ah, I see. I see. It makes sense that she can understand quite a bit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. Like I feel like if she was fully immersed like for a long long time in like the US, she would be like perfect because her base seems really good. That’s true. Yeah, that’s true. Um, like I could tell that she was find she was having trouble finding the right words, but she has the right ideas. Yeah, exactly. Like she knows what to say, but she does she doesn’t know how to say it kind of thing. And like I feel like she knew a lot of like not exactly slang, but she could speak in a more casual manner than like textbook, which was nice. That’s true. That’s true. We give her a 7.5 out of 10. Langal approval. I’ll agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you for watching. If you liked our video, please like and subscribe.
