Hello, I’m Rei Shito. Today I’m sharing my top 10 snapshots from Paris Fashion Week. I’ll be doing my next “Fashion Study” at the end of November. These are the top 10 snapshots you should see right now, capturing a bit of that essence. I was in Paris from the end of September to the beginning of October. Check out my Paris Fashion Week video for more details. I was in Paris taking photos while shooting video. Some viewers may not know this. Do they think I’m just drifting around? Your main job is as a photographer. You don’t look like that though. I physically can’t film myself taking photos. This time, the trend is more like spot the difference than ever. Last time and the time before that… Does that mean it’s similar to the last one? Yes. Until last time, each of the trends had clearly defined the image of a woman. This time, it seems like the iPhone has gone from 16 to 17. Are you complaining about Apple? No, no, no. I’m not saying it’s just because cameras have gotten better. If you’re not careful, you’ll miss the trend. So it’s a season that needs to be watched more carefully than usual. I see. So let’s take a look. In the Paris video, I mentioned that I took some amazing photos of some amazing people at the Thom Browne venue, right? If you’ve seen the video, you’ll understand. That’s what you said. I want to show it. It is a styling that follows Thom Browne while going beyond it. There are brands that reflect your personality. On the other hand, there are brands that aim to instill you in their colors. I think brands fall into two categories. THOM BROWNE is the latter. I would like to name three such brands. Rick Owens, COMME DES GARÇON, THOM BROWNE. Do you understand what I’m saying? –Yes. You put yourself into that worldview. At first glance, her style is reminiscent of Thom Browne. But this jacket is second hand. It was a second-hand Napoleon jacket, and upon closer inspection, it was old. It also has a vintage feel to it. Thom Browne and vintage don’t go together. Clothes that look wrinkle-free and second-hand clothes are completely different. But there’s a cohesiveness to this style. The key is probably this navy blue color. I thought that’s what she was really good at. If you look closely, you’ll see that this skirt is backwards. The THOM BROWNE tag is on the back. If you look closely, you’ll see that the tag is attached in the center of the front. That means she’s wearing it backwards. So why is she dressed like that? This little red makes a great accent. Without it, the style wouldn’t come together. It would lose its accent. It makes a huge difference whether this tricolor is there or not. And one more thing, look at the sleeves. It feels loose. THOM BROWNE doesn’t do that. THOM BROWNE tightens the cuffs. Surely it should be short. So she’s opting for a Thom Browne-inspired cuff. But overall, it has the power to make you think it’s good. This person was at the venue, right? that’s right. I’m sure someone in the comments section pointed out who she was. Apparently she’s a YouTuber. She is the person I care about the most right now. Also, personally, I’m interested in bob cut hairstyles. I saw quite a few bob cuts at the collection venue. Is that so? That bothers me a little. There are trends in hairstyles too. Now, regarding makeup. This is the girl with the split tongue that I featured in Volume 3 of my Paris Fashion Week videos. She must have split her tongue. that’s right. Please take a look. She is quite eccentric. She had this kind of fashion. That’s right. It’s just her style. Exactly. Like wearing a lot of belts. She looks like she has a split tongue. She’s gone beyond punk. That’s true. That’s Beyond Punk. She was at the Givenchy venue. But she wasn’t inside the venue. So maybe she’s a Parisian kid? I don’t know what she’ll do next, though. In terms of trends, her boots reflect that. In fact, there are trendy styles of boots as well. I’ll talk about that in detail in “Fashion Studies.” She feels like she’s wearing a bit of those boots. It has a baggy feel to it. It’s shaped like a cylinder. Haven’t you said that before? Yeah, but it’s evolved a bit. Now it’s like a tube plus something else. So we can “study” that in your seminar “Fashion Studies”? Please “study”. It’s like saying, “Let’s get together.” So next, can I show you another makeup-related photo? It’s like a makeup channel. I seem to like makeup lately. Since I took this photo of this girl, the way I apply blush has changed. Look. She seems to be a famous K-Pop or Chinese person. If anyone knows who she is, please write in the comments section. Cheek? That’s not here. That’s this part. It looks like a flushed face after a bath. Isn’t that cute? Is there a way to do that? yes. I’ve been doing that since the day after I saw her. If you watch fashion week videos, that’s what I’m supposed to look like. Were you doing that during fashion week? You adopted it immediately. This is day 2, so it must be volume 2 or 3 of the video. I should be applying blush like this. She’s not only pretty, but her clothes are cute too. She is wearing heeled sandals. But the calves have volume. This volume around the legs gives it a modern look. It also depends on the width of the boots. Isn’t that good news? For those who are not confident about their legs. surely. For example, for people who have complexes about their slightly thick legs or bow legs. This season is a blessing. Next then. in relation to the face. It’s all about the face, isn’t it? why? The face is also part of fashion. That’s true, but… I believe it was the ANREALAGE venue. And his clothes are probably from ANREALAGE. Is it about tops? Maybe I’m wrong though. But it has an ANREALAGE feel to it. And so are these pants. Look at his face. He has vitiligo, a condition that causes loss of pigment. He used to have completely black skin, but the pigment has been lost and he looks like this. I think it’s really great that he’s turned that into a charming point. He knows he’s charming, so he dresses quite charmingly too. He has become a charming character and chooses clothes to match. He is probably trying to understand himself and find a way to make the most of the changes he will undergo. I was impressed by his strength. In relation to kids. There they are! The familiar faces. They’re regulars. As you know. They come out once or twice a year. This is the Matières Fécales venue. This time I had the opportunity to cover their fashion show. It started an hour late. Is that what you mean? When I arrived, rehearsals were underway. It would be slow, I thought. You complain a lot today. That meant I couldn’t get into the venue. I was waiting in the same space as them the whole time. You’ve been waiting in another dimension all this time, haven’t you? Like, “Huh? Have I been reincarnated?” I had nothing better to do so I took their photos. And I watched them in action. They get along well here. One becomes two, then three, then four, and so on. Before you know it, they’ve become friends. I watched how they formed friendships. “Oh, that’s nice.” That’s certainly good. So that made sense for it to be an hour late. If it had started on time, they wouldn’t have had a reason to talk. They had nothing to do so they started chatting. What’s more, they transcend age, gender, and generations. This lady looks quite older than her age. Also, they are in the same genre, but they differ in their slightly bad and colorful styles. They have slightly different personalities, but somehow they’re the same. I think this colorful look is quite modern. I think this season is all about color and pattern. This is a bit of an extreme example though. The key points to remember are color and pattern. It’s something to keep in mind this season. So which photo should I take next? Shall we go orthodox? That’s a huge difference. My head can’t keep up. It’s ultra-Orthodox. that’s right. Fashion is such a broad thing. Yes, it’s the HERMÈS venue. What’s the key point? There’s a style called “quiet luxury” that’s been around for a while now. It’s in the same vein as THE ROW. HERMÈS also falls into the category of “quiet luxury.” There’s something a little different this season though. “Quiet Luxury” has a tame image. High quality and simple. But it also has color. Is that her neck? that’s right. I also had the opportunity to cover the HERMÈS fashion show. There were quite a lot of people using scarves, weren’t there? I agree. They wore it in different ways. She also uses a scarf. The clothes themselves are simple, white and beige. She adds color to it. That’s one of its characteristics. I was wondering what this was. Is that a scarf belt? I don’t know if such an item exists or if it’s originally attached to the scarf. It’s interesting that such an item has come out. Until now, it was the version without that scarf? Or maybe the scarf was beige or white. The “quiet luxury” style was to keep color to a minimum. This time, it also feels like we’re having a little fun. What’s more, her hairstyle is a bob cut. Now, in relation to the bob cut. What does that mean? I really think she’s stylish. She does have a bob cut. Her boots are also thick. What impressed me was the blue. It’s a pretty dull color overall. The addition of glowing blue here tightens the whole look. As an accessory, the thick belt is also a key point. Another feature is the size of the bag. Is that big? Finally, everyone realized that there’s nothing that can fit in a tiny bag. Have you stopped seeing it at all? Umm, you mean the bag that only contains hope? This may be a trend from last season’s “capable working woman” style. Next, this one also has a trendy feel. I’m still analyzing that a bit myself. This is a trend that concerns me. Those are socks. Without the socks, this is a pretty plain outfit. surely. Without that, there’s nothing noteworthy. At the same time, it’s in line with the “professional woman” style, right? Like a tight skirt and glasses. But there’s color added to it. Like, “Huh? There’s something strange about that.” That feeling gives it a slightly modern feel. But silhouette-wise, it follows the previous trend. There was something strange about her. This is how people pose when I take their photos. She suddenly started doing this. Did she cross her arms?–Yes. The only people who cross their arms are ramen shop owners or business owners. Is there a reason why she did that? I don’t know. But we don’t do this for no reason. We don’t see that very often. She has her own image of a woman, and it seems to be something like this. It’s like a school teacher. Maybe she wants to follow the path of a stoic teacher or a capable woman. Maybe she has a theme. That’s how I imagine it. So, do you want to see something heartwarming? That’s a couple. Aren’t they cool? Is this a strong brand? It’s GIVENCHY. And it was on the Champs-Élysées in the rain. Walking down the Champs-Élysées in the rain wearing clothes with dragging hems like this… Like, “Lift up your hem quickly!” “Do it like this!” Maybe they’re wearing Givenchy clothes? They were inside the venue, so that was probably the case. Doesn’t it feel good to have him leaning on her shoulder? Wouldn’t it be nice if she could lean on him a little? They’re cool. So next, that’s the last one. It’s a photo I took at the last fashion show in Paris, Meryll Rogge. Look at this. As I mentioned earlier, this is a combination of pattern x pattern x pattern. She’s so cool. Right? Wow, her coat is plaid. Yes, plaid and floral or something. This belt is also quite distinctive. It looks like a big polka dot. That’s my wallpaper. So, was that your best photo of the season? that’s right. Also, for the first time in a while, many people were wearing hats. The same goes for her. Hats haven’t been a big trend for a while now. Sailor caps were a bit popular about two seasons ago. But there’s a lot of variety this season. So, is the woman on that screen capture the “Most Valuable Street snapshot”? I agree. I saw footage of Meryll Rogge’s fashion show and thought her styling was amazing. The level of the audience at the venue was also high. I agree. They look like Meryll Rogge. I also had the opportunity to photograph many other people at the Meryll Rogge venue. The level of the audience was quite high. I guess so. I get the impression that there are a lot of people with a style that you would like.
