Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani’s show for the ages
Otani did he? Otani. Oh, Tony has done it again. His third home run. Ladies and gentlemen, there are stars. There are superstars. And then there’s the supernatural phenomenon. That is Shi Otani. The Dodger had the single greatest game ever last night. 10 strikeouts, three homers, and a place in the World Series. In game four of the LCS. And there goes Otani. It was a show for the ages from Dodger superstar Shi Otani. The three-time MVP cracked a towering home run as LA’s leadoff hitter in the NLCS. That’s a called strike three. Otani paints with a 100 mph fast. And that was after he struck out three Milwaukee Brewers as the Dodgers starting pitcher. What a start. As the only current player to regularly pitch and hit, Otani has had 55 homers this season. Oh my goodness. In the fourth inning, an unbelievable encore. This shot right out of the ballpark. Up and over the roof. And his performance from the mound was just as sterling. And then in the seventh inning, an already remarkable performance became legendary. Otani. Did he Otani? Oh, Tony has done it again. His third home run. He had a hell of a game. Man, we are so blessed to be able to be a part of it. It was a great night. Otani joins an exclusive club. Only 11 players, including Reggie Jackson and Babe Ruth, have hit three home runs in a postseason game. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated the obvious. There’s a reason why he’s the greatest player on the planet. You know, what he did on the mound, uh, what he did at the bat, uh, he created a lot of memories for a lot of people. On Otani’s shoulders, the Dodgers swept the Brewers. On deck, a 26 World Series appearance for the defending World Champions.
Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani had the single greatest game of baseball ever on Friday night with 10 strikeouts, three homers and a place in the World Series. Jericka Duncan has the story.
