Altra Lone Peakブーツのレビューとおすすめ
When you take a break hiking along the trail, start talking about equipment and gear, boots. A lot of people will start talking about their trail runners that they love. Ultralone Peaks, they come up every time. I’ll let you know what I think. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hi, welcome back. I’m John’s dad. This is the boot review for the Ultralone Peaks. You’ll notice that these are ankle height. I got those because I thought, “Oh, yeah. Get some extra support in there.” And it and it really don’t bother. The ankle height doesn’t give you any real extra support. They do have on here gator traps made out of Velcro. A lot of people like the Dirty Girl gators. There’s others out there, too. I like my dirty girls. You notice I haven’t used these very much. And one reason is that there’s zero drop. And I’ll do a whole video on what zero drop means, but basically the heel is lower. Your foot is flatter. That stretches out your Achilles tendon. If you have trouble with plantar fasciitis or any problems with your Achilles tendon, zero drop may not be for you. Guess what? I got trouble with both. I injured my Achilles tendon one time, two years physical therapy, and it it hurts. And every once in a while, I can still hurt it. So, zero drop doesn’t work for me. But people love these. Now, one advantage is that they’re lighter. They have a real thin sole, so you feel a lot more rocks. Now, John’s dad’s son has another pair of these. His are yellow, and he’s got the the low version. And unfortunately, he doesn’t really like them either. It beats up the bottom of your foot just too much for us. Other people love these, though, so you definitely want to consider these. If you’re looking for trail runners, try them out. I took them to Indonesia, climbed a volcano with them. They work just fine. I used them as my tourist shoes around the different cultural sites. Worked out great, but I came home had trouble with my killing because it was all stretched out. So, you got to decide. Definitely study it. Definitely stretch your Achilles tentin. Let me know if you have any questions, if you have any experience with them. Maybe there’s other zero drop boots you’d prefer. Definitely would like to share that. See you next week. [Music]
One of a series of videos giving you my unbiased assessment of gear you use every day in the backcountry.
The Altra Lone Peak is a comfortable boot for hiking on basic terrain. Comfortable. Light weight. They are “zero drop” which means your foot is level with the ground with no drop between your heel and toes. They are very popular with many people.
