【ストーリー】
1991年、春。
東京の小学校で出会った貴樹と明里は、互いの孤独にそっと手を差し伸べるようにして、少しずつ心を通わせていった。
しかし、卒業と同時に、明里は引っ越してしまう。
離れてからも、文通を重ねる二人。
相手の言葉に触れるたび、たしかにつながっていると感じられた。
中学一年の冬。
吹雪の夜、栃木・岩舟で再会を果たした二人は、雪の中に立つ一本の桜の木の下で、最後の約束を交わす。
「2009年3月26日、またここで会おう」
時は流れ、2008年。
東京で働く貴樹は、人と深く関わらず、閉じた日々を送っていた。
30歳を前にして、自分の一部が、遠い時間に取り残されたままだと気づきはじめる。
そんな時にふと胸に浮かぶのは、色褪せない風景と、約束の日の予感。
明里もまた、あの頃の想い出と共に、静かに日常を生きていた。
18年という時を、異なる速さで歩んだ二人が、ひとつの記憶の場所へと向かっていく。
交わらなかった運命の先に、二人を隔てる距離と時間に、今も静かに漂うあの時の言葉。
