【北京→上海】中国一豪華な高速鉄道のビジネスクラスに乗車、これは正直いって…

Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! I’m in Beijing, China right now. Today, I’m hopping on a high-speed train to travel all the way to Shanghai! China’s high-speed trains are kinda like Japan’s Shinkansen— they’re the go-to way to get around the major cities. And today, I actually booked the top-tier seat— Business Class! I’m super excited to see what this trip’s gonna be like. Alright, let’s go! Here’s what the entrance gates look like. Even though it’s just a train, there’s a security check like this, so you have to scan your bags before entering. You just show the ticket you bought in advance along with your passport, and you can head inside. *Looks like only foreigners need to show passports.* I’m traveling with my mom today! So she’s helping me out with the luggage. *By the way, Mom’s the one who bought the tickets for us lol* Here’s how we load the luggage onto the belt. Look, look! It’s McDonald’s in China! It’s called “麦当劳”. You pronounce it “mài dāng láo.” Sounds kinda funny if you say it with a Japanese accent. When you buy a Business Class ticket, you get access to the lounge. So let’s go check out the Business Class Lounge! Found the lounge! *There are three lounges in the station, so it doesn’t get too crowded.* Here’s what the inside looks like— they’ve got soft drinks, and a bunch of Chinese snacks lined up. It’s full of snacks I’ve never seen before! There’s also a coffee machine. I’ll make a coffee for Mom. *That should totally pay her back for buying my ticket, right?* I went with tea for myself. No alcohol, though. Even Japan’s Shinkansen lounges don’t serve alcohol, so I guess it’s the same here. Alright then—cheers to my very first Chinese high-speed train trip! ~Refueling time~ This snack is apparently made from sunflower seeds. You don’t really see that in Japan, so it’s kinda cool. *I’m actually obsessed with sunflower seeds.* Yum! I took a taxi here to Beijing South Station. When I told the driver I was about to take the high-speed train, he was like, “Wow, you’ve got great taste!” He said, “That seat is amazing!” “You can chill, listen to music, and ride in total comfort,” he told me. So yeah, now I’m even more hyped for this trip. *By the way, that taxi driver was a total red-light rebel…* *So it wasn’t exactly a relaxing ride.* When it was time to board, a personal attendant came to guide us all the way to the platform. Such fancy service! Beijing South Station is one of the biggest in China, so honestly, I’d be totally lost without help. There’s no private lane or anything— we’re just kinda skipping the massive line like pros. There are platforms numbered from 1 to 24, and they’re all for high-speed trains only. *It’s like if every platform at Shinjuku Station were Shinkansen-only.* And this is the one I’m taking— the “Fuxinghao” G31 train. It’s got red and gold stripes—so cool! Alright, let’s hop onboard! Wow… This is the Business Class cabin! There are only five seats total—pretty exclusive! This one’s mine, seat 2F. No one else is here in Business Class, so it’s basically my private cabin! The seat feels insanely comfortable. *Even the ceiling lights look super futuristic—love it.* Wow… The window’s huge—like, really huge. Perfect for watching the scenery go by. *An attendant came by to ask what I’d like to drink.* Do you have beer? No beer, sorry… Then I’ll have a Coke. *Apparently drinking alcohol on trains is illegal in China.* I’m heading from Beijing to a place called Huzhou Station. It’s about 1,200 kilometers away. To give you an idea, that’s like going from Aomori to Okayama! That’s the distance I’ll be traveling today. It takes around four hours, which will probably fly by. The seat is so comfy—I’m really looking forward to this. Can’t wait! We just departed at 7:55. It was supposed to leave at 7:56, but for some reason, we left a minute early! And just like that, my Chinese bullet train journey begins! Gonna enjoy every bit of this Business Class—let’s “Chai-na” have fun! That’s my slogan for today. *Yeah… I just really wanted to say “Chai-na.”* Of course, the onboard service comes with unlimited drinks, so I’m planning to live it up for the full 1,200 kilometers! *Please don’t call me small-minded, okay?* Alright, let me give you a quick seat tour. First off, the legroom is insane— even with a bunch of bags, it doesn’t feel cramped at all. There’s plenty of space to stretch your legs. And on the right side of the seat, there’s a set of reclining buttons like this. If you press this one, an attendant will actually come over. There’s also a barcode here for payments— you can apparently order all kinds of stuff onboard. And there’s even a reading light here. It lights up like this. You can adjust the brightness in two levels. You can also move the headrest up and down like this. Somewhere around here feels right. And right here, there’s a fold-out table for meals. It’s just like the Gran Class on Japan’s Shinkansen. You can slide it back and forth like this. *Perfect if you overeat and your belly needs some space!* Down here, there’s also an outlet and a USB port. And in front of the seat, they’ve placed a few amenities. Right after boarding, they asked what I’d like to drink, so I went with a Coke. I asked if they had alcohol, and they just laughed— then politely said no. *Good thing, or I would’ve accidentally committed a crime.* The Coke’s kinda flat… but still tasty! They also gave me a pair of slippers. They’re actually pretty big in size. Let’s try them on. Here’s what they look like when I put them on. They’re comfy and super easy to wear. And there’s also a wet towel, plus this little thing. I wonder what it is? Oh, it’s a snack—looks like a pastry! There’s some pie-like treats inside. I’ll save them for later. There are newspapers and pamphlets in the seat pocket up front. Pretty similar to an airplane setup. Alright, let’s try reclining the seat all the way. Here we go. Ready… set… Whoa—it goes way back! That’s crazy! *The seat reclines automatically when you press the button.* Wow… It reclines this far! Never seen a train seat go this flat before. It’s almost completely flat! Yay, time to lie down and “GORON”! But… I feel kinda embarrassed, so I’ll sit back up. *Honestly, reclining this much in public feels a little awkward.* *Comfort level < < < Embarrassment level.* It’s been about 30 minutes since departure, and all the tall buildings have disappeared. Now we’re passing through peaceful countryside scenery. *And of course, right as I say that—boom, high-rises appear.* *The attendant brought me some bread!* It’s sweet and really good. One big difference I noticed from Japan is that a lot of passengers here watch videos with their phones on speaker. Like, full-on sound blasting. In Japan, people usually wear earphones, right? But here, almost no one’s using them. In China, it’s kinda normal for public spaces to be lively and noisy, so first-time visitors might be surprised. But honestly, thanks to that, I can film this video without worrying—so it’s a win for me! To be honest, I thought high-speed trains would be a lot noisier while running, but it’s totally different from what I imagined. *In the best possible way!* With this much comfort... I’m seriously tempted to lie down again. It’s too comfy… This is dangerous—I might pass out. Alright, good night for now. I’ve been sleeping way too much, so… I decided to stretch my legs and explore the train a bit. This is the car right below Business Class— the First Class section. Even First Class looks super comfy. If I weren’t filming this, I probably would’ve picked this one. *It’s about half the price, too!* And this is the washstand area that every car has. It even has a power outlet—pretty handy. Next to the sink, there’s a restroom, and here’s what it looks like inside. What surprised me compared to Japan was this toilet seat cover. Apparently, if you’re worried about hygiene, you can just use one of these paper covers. That’s all from the scene! Exploration over—back to my seat again. Out the window, I can see those classic Chinese mountains, and it’s reminding me of that bungee jump I got pushed off of. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out in the description. You can watch the exact moment I get shoved off a cliff. By the way, about the ticket price— Business Class cost 2,188 yuan, which is about $300. The next class down, Premium Class, was 1,300 yuan—around $180. After that is First Class, which was 900 yuan, roughly $125. And the cheapest one, Second Class, was 538 yuan—about $75. So yeah, Business Class is quite a price jump compared to the others. But since I splurged this much, I’ve gotta make it worth it. So of course, I’ll fully recline and do a big GORON. There’s just one thing, though… When I lie down, I end up making eye contact with the attendant in the aisle. It’s kinda awkward. I was only planning to nap for a bit, but I accidentally passed out for two hours. Even I was shocked, honestly. It’s so comfy—it feels like a sleeper train. If only they served alcohol… it would’ve been perfect. But since it’s banned by law, I’ll just have to behave myself. While I was relaxing, the train started approaching Nanjing South Station. Funny name—it’s like every piece on an Othello board turning south. It’s been three hours since departure, and finally, lunch is here! It looks so good. Let’s see how it tastes… Whoa, this is seriously amazing. It’s like something you’d get at a proper Chinese restaurant. Totally worth going Business Class for this. It’s absolutely delicious. Earlier, the attendant came by and asked, “Beef or chicken?” It felt just like being on an airplane’s First Class. Honestly, that totally lifted my mood. But my favorite Chinese food of all time will always be my mom’s home cooking. I’m so grateful to her for giving me this trip. Couldn’t ask for a better mom. *Thanks, Mom—you’re enjoying First Class while I film this!* *Love you lots!* It’s been four hours since departure, and we’re getting pretty close to Shanghai now. By the way, the Fuxinghao’s top speed is 350 km/h, making it the fastest scheduled train in the world. Thanks to that incredible speed, it can cover 1,200 kilometers in just four hours! If you ever get the chance, you should totally give it a ride. We’ve arrived! I didn’t get to show this earlier, but here’s what the front of the G31 looks like. It’s got a super sharp, sleek design—so cool. Alright then, bye-bye! See you next time! I’ve arrived at Huzhou Station. That was honestly such a comfortable ride. The fully flat seat was the best part— I totally passed out. It was my first time being able to lie completely flat on a train, so it was a really fun experience. We even got two meals— a bread snack and a bento box—and both were delicious. And since the train was insanely fast, we got from Beijing to near Shanghai in just four hours! The trip flew by so quickly. Huzhou Station is in Zhejiang Province— a calm town located near Shanghai and Hangzhou. It’s not really a touristy spot, but it’s full of nature and history. I actually came here for a small errand today, and I’m planning to visit somewhere special next. Thank you so much for watching till the very end! If you enjoyed this video, please don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. See you next time! Bye-bye!
