Hello. This is Mako Ikeda. Today, I’ll be showcasing some of my GU purchases. GU already has a wide selection of items, and I picked out some knitwear and velour pieces. I’ll also be showcasing some sophisticated, casual outfits , so please take a look. Again, I’ll be showcasing some of my outfits, including this collaboration bag. Let’s start with the knitwear. This is a cable crew neck pullover. It retails for 2,990 yen. It comes in five colors , and I chose red this time. With autumn approaching, you want to incorporate a more subdued red like this. Yes. I’m wearing it again today. This knitwear has various patterns in different areas, with a simple design on the back. The weave isn’t too dense, but the fabric itself is soft and warm . Yes. I’m 160cm tall and wearing a size M. So, just to let you know, I used to say I was 159cm tall, but I recently had a health check and they said I’ve grown to 160cm. I don’t think it’ll change much, but I’ll be 160cm from now on, so please take that into consideration when sizing. This knit has a silhouette that allows you to wear it with just the right amount of Italian comfort. Yes. If you look closely, it looks like this, and the neck and other parts have a sturdy design, so it doesn’t seem to get bunched up. The bamboo is just the right length to fit your pelvis. Yes. I paired it with wide-leg pants like this . You can’t go wrong with this combination of dark denim and red . The bamboo on this knit isn’t too long, so I think it would look good with a light, fluffy cut , or you could tuck in just the front to make your legs look longer . I’m currently wearing this knit over a camisole , and it’s incredibly warm just wearing it for a little while. This red isn’t too bright or too dark, but rather has just the right depth, so it feels like it’s perfectly coordinated and doesn’t clash with your face. I think it’s a very easy color to incorporate. Next, I tried pairing it with a skirt. It looks even more cute with this white skirt. This outfit makes the red even more of a focal point than the previous one. It’s a little early, but I think this knit could be worn for Christmas. Right now, I’m wearing it in a size M, which fits me perfectly, but I think it would also be cute to wear it a little more oversized and loose. Even if it fits me perfectly now, there’s still plenty of room, so I think it would look cute layered with a shirt or T-shirt underneath . The overall outfit is quite relaxed, so if you hold your bag short, it will raise your center of gravity and create a neater impression . Matching the colors of your bag and shoes will also create a more cohesive look. I’ll also post the bag I’m matching with this outfit in the description, so please take a look. Yes. Also, if you want a softer look, pairing it with taupe or a dark brown would be cute. This backpack is also a collaboration with Heni, and is scheduled to be released this year, so please look forward to it . Next up is this. I bought the Hafknit Polka Dot Shirt. It’s priced at 2,490 yen. It comes in five colors, and I chose the dark brown . It’s a simple knit with buttons and a collar. It has a dense, woven weave, which makes it incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin. It’s also highly stretchable, giving it a fluffy feel. I’m also wearing a size M. The sleeves are quite long, which is super cute. Although it has a loose fit overall, the design is surprisingly streamlined. It doesn’t look pretentious. It has two buttons in the front, so even when it’s fastened, it doesn’t feel tight around the neck. When you open the buttons, it creates an even more streamlined look around the neck. The reason I chose this brown is because the buttons are less noticeable . Pink and other colors were cute, too, but when it comes to affordable knitwear, the buttons tend to look a little pricey. So , I chose this one in the same color, hoping it would make the buttons less noticeable and give it a more sophisticated look. It also looks cute with a skirt like the one I showed you earlier . First, I paired it with wide-leg pants. It’s a pretty deep brown, so I paired it with other items in lighter colors to avoid making it look too dark . I’m wearing the knit right now, and it’s not itchy at all, so it’s very comfortable. It’s light and warm, so I think it won’t put much strain on your body even if you layer it up. You can wear it with the hem open like I’m doing now, or you can wear it with a T-shirt or something showing underneath, which I think would be cute. Next, I tried pairing it with a denim skirt. When wearing a blazer, dark colors like these can often create a gloomy impression, but simply incorporating brighter items like a bag or accessories can help prevent this. I think it’s fine to add some gold accessories, or larger accessories to add a bit of flair . You can lightly tuck these into your brows, or leave them out for a slightly more airy look. Here ‘s what it looks like with a backpack. And, as with the previous outfit, you can create a more casual look by pairing it with sneakers or a slightly larger bag. It’s highly flexible, lightweight, and easy to move in, so it’s perfect for a dress that requires a lot of movement. Next up, the Velvet Anaro Maxi Skirt. It’s priced at 2,990 yen. It’s available in dark brown and black. The sheen of this Velvet is incredibly beautiful, isn’t it? It reflects light with every movement. The Taki skirt is a long skirt with a slit in the back. This skirt has a slit and comes with an inner layer , but the inner layer also opens to match the slit, giving it a slightly more nasal, slouchy feel. The waist looks slim, but it’s elastic, so it fits easily. Yes. I paired this with the knit from earlier. This one is also a deep brown, so it gives it a more cohesive look, almost like a brown one-piece. This skirt is incredibly stretchy, and the slit in the back makes it super easy to move in. I feel like I could easily climb stairs in this. I went for a size M this time, but maybe some people with a skeletal web might find it a little too big depending on the white waist. However, with so many people coming over in the coming months , and also with winter coming around, I’ll be wearing belly warmers, so considering that, I think going up one size would be just right . I’m still hiding my stomach area like this, so I’m wearing it a little around my waist or pelvis, but that way the length is also quite pronounced, so it gives a more subdued impression. So I think it’s best to size it a little shorter depending on whether you want a neater, more snug fit or if you want a bit more slack and length. Also, I just noticed that this has pockets on both sides. I thought that when you move and it fits snugly, the unevenness of the pockets might be visible, but the sheen of the velour makes it less noticeable, so it doesn’t really show the lines of your underwear. I think it’s best to wear seamless shorts to prevent staining, but I think you can wear them without it being too much of a problem. Yes. This time I tried pairing it with a white ribbed knit. Pairing it with something tight like this makes your body lines look even more flattering. When pairing a tight top like this with a skirt, using a belt or something to raise the waist a little will make you look even more stylish. Of course, the perfect position will vary depending on your bone structure, but for people like me, for example, this is the waist position that feels just right for me . Cutting it like this will make your legs look really long. For people like me who are concerned about the length of their lower body, cutting the waist a little lower will make your torso look really long and your lower body look heavier, lowering your center of gravity. Carrying your bag a little longer will also make it look even better. Cutting it like this will make it look different. The same outfit will look different if you cut it like this. The same clothes can be worn in a variety of ways to enhance your style, so I hope this information is helpful. Also, it looks cute paired with a vest or jacket like this. This skirt isn’t particularly flared, so it’s easy to pair with a long-sleeved outerwear like this. Just pairing these items instantly creates a wintery look . Also, while I think it depends on your size, I think this skirt itself fits surprisingly well without being too tight. If you’re concerned about your pelvis or hips, pairing it with a long-sleeved outerwear like this will help provide coverage. I highly recommend incorporating this bare material this fall and winter. I often get comments telling me how stylish I look, but I also try to cover my figure. So, don’t just look at the outfit and think, “Oh, I can’t wear this,” and give up . I hope you’ll learn to wear the clothes you like, depending on how you wear them . I’d like to continue introducing various outfits in the future. Here are two more items . This is a puff knit V-neck cardigan. It’s 2,990 yen. This item comes in six colors, and I chose pink. It’s a UNS -cut cardigan. I bought the small size, but it’s still loose-fitting. This V-neck cardigan has marbled buttons like this, and two pockets . The pink is a mix of light and dark tones . It would look cute with my current outfit. Here ‘s what it looks like in the small size. I’m currently wearing it over a sweater, and it has some tucks. However, if you’re hoping for a more relaxed fit, or if you’re worried about the risk of over-dressing , I think you could go up a size or two and still find it even more comfortable. This combination of brown, pink, and white is incredibly cute. Here it is, with one button open on the bell skirt . The bamboo strips on this one are also longer , so they’ll cover your stomach and pelvis . This pink color is perfect for warm or blue undertones, so I think it’s a nice color to wear without worrying about it. It’s a pale pink, but it looks a little tucked in, so it doesn’t really give off a cutesy impression. This is what it looks like when you open the buttons and cut it. The previous outfit was quite elegant, but by wearing this cardigan, the cardigan itself has some pretty thick ribbing, giving it a casual feel, so I think it gives it a softer look. It’s perfect for when you don’t want to look too formal, or want a more casual vibe. And, pairing it with a dress like this makes it even more casual. This time , I left one more button open. If you button it up like this, I think it’ll still look loose and cute even if you go up a size. Also, even with a casual outfit like this, pairing it with a dressier bag will help prevent it from looking too childish. And, next up are these ultra-stretch heel boots. They retail for 2,990 yen. They come in two sizes: this beige and black . These boots are made of suede, and when you move around a little, they have a nice sheen. The toe of these boots is square , so they’re easy to put on and don’t bunch up. The inside has a secure zipper, making them easy to put on and take off. The heel is semi-flared, so if you look closely, it flares out a little . This shape makes your feet look even more beautiful than before and also feels more stable. Yes. The inside of these boots has a cushioned sole like this, so they fit really well when you exhale. They’re very stretchy, so they don’t seem to hurt your ankles. Yes. The ankle area is also stretchy, so they’re very comfortable to wear, even when you squat. Here’s what they look like when you try them on. A lot of these affordable GU boots have really flat soles, which can cause heel pain , but these don’t feel that way at all. They’re also incredibly stable, so I feel like I could run in them . They’d be just fine . Here’s what they look like with a skirt. I have pretty tight feet, but these don’t feel too tight around the ankles. They’ll be fine even if I get swelling. The color of these boots goes well with any outfit, and they’re the kind of boots you can wear casually, so I don’t think they’ll disappoint.
