It’s been a fourth year of the war. It’s time to stop it. Ukrainian officials use these attacks to urge the West to act faster, but the Kremlin has once again claimed it was targeting military sites. When the UN General Assembly recently met, Russia literally used every day, every hour to strike Ukraine. Very mean blows. This is what characterizes Russia, what they do, not what they say, as they send different signals around the world. They have rejected all real offers of peace and deserve truly rigorous pressure. ロシア軍は28日朝にかけて12時間以上にわたり、ウクライナの首都キーウなどへの大規模な空爆を展開した。ここ数カ月で特に激しかった今回の攻撃では、少なくとも4人が殺害され、少なくとも70人が負傷した。
今回の攻撃では、約600機のドローンと数十発のミサイルがウクライナの7地域に向けて発射された。
ウクライナのウォロディミル・ゼレンスキー大統領は、ロシアの攻撃の大多数が首都キーウを標的としたもので、犠牲者はいずれもキーウで死亡したと明らかにした。ゼレンスキー氏は「卑劣」な攻撃だと非難し、ロシアがいかに「戦いと殺戮（さつりく）を続けたい」のかを示すものだと述べた。
ロシア側は、軍事施設およびウクライナ軍を支援する産業施設を標的にしたと発表している。
ウクライナでは、空爆は突発的ながらも日常の一部と化している。ロシアの空爆は土曜日深夜から始まることが多く、今回もそうだった。
長時間の攻撃から一夜明けて被害の全容が明らかになったキーウから、BBCのジェイムズ・ウォーターハウス特派員が報告する。
