監督・脚本は今作が劇場用長編映画デビュー作となる「Ｕｎｄｏ“アンドゥー”」の岩井俊二。撮影は「夏の庭 Ｔｈｅ Ｆｒｉｅｎｄｓ」の篠田昇。主演は「波の数だけ抱きしめて」以来4年ぶりの映画出演となる中山美穂で、一人二役に挑戦して、ブルーリボン賞、報知映画賞、ヨコハマ映画祭、高崎映画祭などで主演女優賞を獲得した。共演は「ＮＩＧＨＴ ＨＥＡＤ」の豊川悦司と、これが映画初出演となる酒井美紀、柏原崇ほか。ヨコハマ映画祭作品賞、監督賞、主演男優賞（豊川）、主演女優賞（中山）、撮影賞（篠田）、新人女優賞（酒井）を受賞した。95年度キネマ旬報ベストテン第3位、同・読者選出ベストテン第1位。
A love story in which two hidden loves come to light after a love letter is sent to a lover in heaven. The director and screenwriter is Iwai Shunji, whose theatrical feature film debut is “Undo.” Cinematographer is Shinoda Noboru, whose filmography is “Summer Garden: The Friends.” The lead role is played by Nakayama Miho, who is making her first film appearance in four years since “Dakishimete: As Many Waves As You Hold Me.” She takes on the challenge of playing two roles and won Best Actress at the Blue Ribbon Awards, Hochi Film Awards, Yokohama Film Festival, and Takasaki Film Festival. She co-stars with Toyokawa Etsushi, who appeared in “Night Head,” Sakai Miki, who is making her film debut, and Kashiwabara Takashi. The film won the Yokohama Film Festival’s Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Toyokawa), Best Actress (Nakayama), Best Cinematography (Shinoda), and Best New Actress (Sakai). It was ranked 3rd in Kinema Junpo’s 1995 Best Ten and 1st in the same magazine’s Reader’s Choice Best Ten.
