Kazunari, the protagonist, is swaying on his commuter train, staring at his smartphone. Among the advertisements for cosmetic surgery and job openings are news reports about cute cats and mice with human ears implanted. Kazunari pays no particular attention, little realizing that the events that follow are closely connected to these. Suddenly, he hears a deafening cry. Kazu takes off his earphones and turns around to see a baby crying for no apparent reason in its mother’s arms. The passengers around him are all engrossed in their phones and pay no attention to anyone. One businessman, however, suddenly becomes enraged. He’s exhausted from work, and the noise on a crowded train is unbearable. He tells the mother to keep a close eye on her child. All she can do is apologize repeatedly and hug her child a little tighter. Kazunari doesn’t intervene, instead indifferently putting his earphones back on. As the train arrived at the station, he, like a soulless zombie, was pushed out of the station like everyone else. At that moment, his ex-girlfriend, Seven, started calling nonstop . “Yes. Hello.” “Oh, finally she answered.” “Where are you now?” “Oh, I’m just about to go to that temporary job today.” [Music] ” What’s wrong with you at the hospital? Making sure the man wasn’t chasing him, he finally took a step back . However, shortly after turning around, the mysterious man reappeared. Kazunari quickly turned back. However, his desperate efforts were in vain, and he found himself back in the strange passageway. He stopped to observe and realized the man had no intention of attacking him and was simply walking emotionlessly along a set route, like a programmed NPC . Reassured, Kazunari stopped in the passageway and pressed the emergency button to call for help, but the buzzer didn’t respond, and the three adjacent doors didn’t open. In his despair, Kazunari noticed a painting hanging on the wall. As he walked along the Möbius strip , it seemed as if he, like himself, would never find the exit. However, before Kazunari could fully absorb his intervention, something strange happened. Driven by fear, Kazunari turned back and suddenly stopped in his tracks. Haru, Ina, and the others saw the number 8 written backwards. Without hesitation, they turned back . There were now only three loops left until the true exit. The child picks up something from the sand and runs over to 7, proudly showing it off. 7 says it’s his lucky charm. The next moment, the child hands the charm to Kazunari. Kazunari looks at the seashell in the child’s hand and suddenly realizes that the boy in the aisle is his and 7’s unborn child . After confirming that there was nothing unusual, he headed toward the goal with peace of mind. As expected, the true Exit 8 appeared ahead. Kanari began to waver a little as he saw the descending staircase leading to it.
