She took the name Mahiro from two of her favorite idols, Hayashida Mahiro from Fairies and Hoso Mahiro of Akibbo Project. It was only after making her debut in AV that she took her last name, which is Tadai. And she said that there wasn’t really much thought about her last name because her agency and their studio SOD, they thought that it would be memorable if her name contained the common phrase tada. And you’ve probably heard that phrase a lot in anime and TV shows and typical Japanese conversation where it is usually used to announce that someone has returned home.
