On! Hello, everyone! This is NANO of IS:SUE! Today, I’m going to film a long-awaited makeup tutorial. I’m going to start now! Since a long time ago, I’ve gotten requests to do a makeup tutorial and questions about what products I use. I’ve always wanted to share this with you and today, my wish is going to come true! So I’m going to show you my usual makeup routine and take some time to answer some questions I’ve gotten from you in advance. Then let’s start! I’m sure a lot of people start by putting on colored contacts, but I’m going to do that last. My eyes get dry too quickly. I’m going to start with moisturization. I do skin care, but I moisturize first. I use d’Alba. I’ve wanted to do this! How do you do this again? Oh, this is it. Oh I got it, it doesn’t focus if my face shows. I use this d’Alba product. I’m going to use this. I do this thing where I use my face to chase after the mist. Next, I use this. Oh, I opened it. This is also by d’Alba, and what was it again? It’s the tone up sunscreen. I put this on. Even if we just have practice, or there are days when we don’t have to wear makeup I always make sure to wear sunscreen so I always put this on. This can be put on however. Oh, I said “however.” This might not be ideal, but I think it’s fine as long as it’s properly applied. Wow! Spread this all out. I always tap. After I spread everything out. It’s a little thicker than usual right now. After I apply this on top of my eyes as well, I tap. Oh no, my hair is in the way! I’ll put on foundation now. I always use this red cushion by TIRTIR. That doesn’t change. I’ve used this since college. Everyone has different skin types, right? So I can’t say this is good for everyone, but this is good for my skin. My skin gets red really easily. How should I say this? Obviously this part gets red at times but there are times when I wake up and find my face all red. Whenever there are red parts or places I want to cover, I focus on those. Putting on too much at once can be too thick so I put on a little bit at a time. To make sure everything’s even. I mean, there are people who apply a lot for a bold look. Okay! This is what the result is like. The key is to put on a little bit thinly. Next… I’m going to use concealer to erase blemishes. I always use ROSY ROSA sponges. But I think you can use whatever sponges you like. And my concealer is from hince. Since I was in sixth grade of elementary school I’ve had these dark circles, so I always make sure to cover them. That’s it for concealer. Next up is powder, and I use Givenchy’s. It’s the other way around. Is there a clear bottom and top for this? This is Givenchy’s 01 powder. Prisme Libre 01. For powder use a tissue by dabbing the excess onto it. Forehead first, overall face and then nose. Add some onto the eyebrows as well. Makeup artists usually use smaller brushes but I use this kind of big brush. Like that, my base makeup is done. The key is to not apply that much. Next let me move on to eyebrows. I use these two eyebrow pencils, but I don’t stick to them. This is KissMe’s Heavy Rotation pencil. 08. Also this is Cezanne’s eyebrow pencil. This one is the 04 one. What I use differs every day but I first tidy up my brows, or the direction of the hairs using the brush. The shape of the hairs. As you can see, my eyebrows are quite thick. They are. So you might think, “you don’t need to use your eyebrow pencil, do you?” but I fill in the ends or slightly fainter parts. I just fill in the ends a little. And powder. I use CANMAKE powder. It’s a little dirty, though, so let me just do this sort of self-cover. I’m going to use this! It’s the Mix Eyebrow 02. I’ll show you from a bit far away. I put this on the front or middle parts in slightly empty places. First, here. The front parts. But I can’t make the front part too dark. Careful. The middle part. Like that. It took me a really long time to find an eyebrow look that suited me. Eyebrow makeup is really important, but it’s hard. I’m going to put on eyebrow mascara now. This is so old that I don’t know where it’s from. I’m going to cover this like this! Anyways, I use this kind of bright color. When I was a college student, I didn’t know what makeup looks suited me. And when I started working part-time at clothing stores my coworkers were all really cool. They were super good at makeup, hair, and even had nice nails and so I came to respect a lot of them. By working in that kind of environment, I started doing a lot of makeup as well and that’s when I figured out what I looked good in. That makes me think, your surroundings really are important. In the meantime, I’m done with my eyebrows. They look like this. They’re quite clear, right? My eyebrows are quite thick to start with, so I don’t really have to draw them. Wait, let me just fix this one time. Next up is eyesshadow, no, eyeshadow. That came out wrong. I apply eyeshadow differently every day. My skin tone is winter cool, so today I’m going to go with some nice pink shades overall to go with my skin tone. I have two palettes I use for base colors all the time. Ta-da! These are palettes from 3CE and dasique. I always use these two. And today, I’m going to use this as well. Addiction. Sparkly! Cute, right? This actually was a present from RINO. I love it, and I’ll use it today. First this one. The lightest color from the 3CE palette. I’m going to mix these two and apply them on my eyelids. Just go with the flow. I always just go for it. NANO! I’m going to mix these two, and is it called the double eyeline? I’m going to apply this here. I don’t have specific methods of applying eyeshadow so this might look weird. I wonder how you all wear eyeshadow. This video will probably be uploaded in around May. That’s the time for new beginnings, right? Perfect timing, I have a question about a new life, so I’m going to answer that now. “I’m moving schools in April, and I worried I won’t be able to make new friends or adjust.” I know what that feels like. “What should I do?” I know what that feels like, I’m like that as well! I might not seem like it, but I get nervous whenever I’m in new environments. And of course, taking to people makes me nervous as well. But there’s not much to it. There are times when you worry about what will go wrong if you approach someone, right? I’m like that too. “How will this person think of me if I talk to them? What if they think I’m a weird person?” You can be filled with those thoughts and end up not talking to them. I have the same experience. When that happens, how should I explain? First, relax your shoulders and have confidence. Try thinking “I’m me and no matter what happens, I’m still me” and think positively, that you’ll be able to get close to this person you’re about to talk to. If you keep thinking like that, I’m sure good things will happen in the future. I totally understand the nervousness, but that’s probably the same for everyone, so it’s okay. Have confidence and go for it. It’s important to start a conversation. If you wait, you have to wait for someone to come talk to you, so I think approaching first is key. Now what should I do? I’m going to take this dasique palette. I like this color. Isn’t this such a cute pink? I’m going to apply some of that. Just a little though, because it screams party if I apply this all over. I’m going to put it at the end of my eyes and near my eyelashes. Looks good. And I’m going to do the same for my under eye skin as well. The future will definitely go your way so relax and let’s all just go for it! I’m going to answer another life question. “I started living alone in the spring, and I’m very nervous all the time. Do you have tips for me to relax?” Right. I also lived alone when I went to college, and it was crazy. It was a crazy experience, everyone, listen. Back where I lived, there was just one subway line. I didn’t live in a place with a lot of subway lines like Tokyo has. I lived in a countryside village and so I always got lost at the subway station. “Where am I? What’s the next station?” It was so hard to transfer. But I slowly got used to it. That’s the only way these problems are solved. But still, every day, I called my parents and younger brother. I recommend relying on your family first. Wait a second, I’m going to do a trick on my under eye skin. This is a pencil from Too Cool For School, and I’m going to apply it on my under eye skin. This is amazing. It’s great for highlighting your under eye skin. I’m all done. My under eye skin is really thin and I didn’t like that. Next, I’m going to put on this eyeshadow RINO gave me. When I use this kind of sparkly eyeshadow, I use my fingers. I don’t know why, but brushes aren’t really good for these. I focus on the middle of my eyelids and spread the rest outwards. This is really cute. It’s super glittery! RINO was like “I know you like glittery ones, NANO” and gave this to me. She knows me well. This is what it looks like. I’m glad. Such a nice gift! It’s super sparkly, can you see? I’ll add a bit more, because I just like glitter a lot. I also put some on my under eye skin and I only put it on the middle. Lightly. Just enough to make the glitter stand out more. This is what it looks like. Okay! Oh, wait! No, sorry. I forgot one thing. I’m going to use the darkest color and apply it here on this triangle zone. Then what happens is my eyes look really nice in selfies. I realized that this kind of detailed makeup is essential for selfies more than photos by others. That’s it for eyeshadow. And I’m going to put on eyeliner next. I lied. I’m going to curl my eyelashes first. I use Shiseido’s eyelash curler. My eyelashes. I get complimented on my eyelashes a lot. “Are they fake?” But no. I’ll show you how I do that. First, I curl. Eyelashes. My eyelashes take the longest time. I use rom&nd’s mascara. It’s the 01 mascara, and it’s this color. Is that right? 01. It’s black. I also have tweezers. The ones I use look like this, but any kind of tweezers work. I used more ordinary ones like this one before too. Ones that they sell in 100 yen stores. I think you can use whatever you find comfortable. I’ll apply mascara now. Starting from the bottom rub as you go up. Rub and flick up. Repeat. When I apply mascara, I think about the overall shape. I think about how I want the result to look. When the basic shape is set I use tweezers to point my eyelashes in a more detailed manner. This takes quite a bit of time. But this is quite an important step. Even if I don’t have time, I don’t skip this. Shaping my eyelashes. Time to focus. Okay. All done! Done! My right eye looks good today. Moving on to my left eye. I’m moving fast today. This can take a lot of time. Personally, how my eyelashes look will determine my mood for the day. At least, that’s the case for me. “You care about them that much?” you may think, but yes, I do. Okay. All done. Ta-da! So I do my eyelashes like this. I put on eyeliner next. For my eyeliner I use the Love Liner. I’ll use it now. I like to make my eyeline long, like this. Like that. Not too high up, and not too low either. Just like this. If I want to fix something, I always use this. I got this about five years ago at a 100 yen store. It’s like an eyebrow brush, and I use this to fix my eyeline. Like this. All done. I’m done with eyeliner. It’s not bad, right? I’ll fill in my mucosa now. I use CANMAKE eyeliner for this. This part is the mucosa. When I’m doing a full-body shoot or just taking photos this will make a difference in how bold my eyes look. This is even more so for selfies. There are people who don’t fill in this part, but I do. All done. Okay. Look! I’m almost done now. At this stage, I put on mascara for my under eyelashes as well. This is bad. Sorry, why is it that I pull my lips whenever I put mascara on my under eyelashes? I don’t know why, but this happens every single time I put it on. Why does this happen? I want to know. Is there not research done on this? I don’t know why. I guess it might be because of my facial structure. So for here after putting on mascara on my under eyelashes I would laugh and such during the day, right? There are times when the mascara comes off so to prevent that as much as possible I’m going to use this random brush I showed you, one I got from a 100 yen store five years ago to slightly remove some of the mascara. I just go lightly like this. After I’m done I’m going to lightly highlight my under eye skin. I’m going to use the middle color in the CANMAKE eyebrow powder I showed you before. Put some on and I’m going to work on the under eye skin a little more later, so this can be light. First, I’m going to use powder like this. Base. Base drawing? Oh, it’s sketch. I sketch this out. Okay, like this. This looks good, doesn’t it? Next, I’m going to contour my nose. My features make it so that my makeup looks really heavy when I contour. So I do just the bare minimum. I just shade this part and the end of my nose. I apply contour here, and blend it a little. Moving on to blush! The blush I use is… ta-da! These from CANMAKE! These are 01 and 02. YUUKI gave me this one. YUUKI bought two and gave me one. It says “glint.” This is light, so I use it as a base. I put on blush under my eyes, like this. To cover my dark circles. This helps cover up dark circles and make my cheeks look cute. Killing two birds with one stone. That’s done. That’s all for the light color. Next “on rest days what do you do when you want a break?” I go eat good food. I love doing that. I’m happiest when I have good food. You’re like that too, right? But for me since we have performances and such there are times when I have to hold back. I have to be strict with that, but I think sometimes it’s necessary to have tasty food that I like. Or else life becomes no fun. So while I do eat things I like I work out to maintain my weight and tone my body. I’d like to upload a video of me training sometime. Stay tuned for that! I like slightly dark blush. Everyone likes different kinds of blush. I’ll put this on near this area to finish. I always find myself wanting to make this part the darkest. For no particular reason. Last one. No, this isn’t the last one, but I’ll put on highlighter now. I use Dior’s highlighter. Dior, OFRA and fwee. I’m going to mix these two first. How I use highlighter also changes every day. Today, I’m going to go with these three. Or should I not? Ignore that, I’ll go with a mix of these three instead. I bought this recently and it’s really cute because it has this slightly blue shade. Today my makeup doesn’t have blue tones at all but I quite like blue and pink together so I’m going to try that today. Now… “When I put ketchup on omurice, the only shape I make is a heart. Could you give me more ideas?” There are a ton of other things you can try! There are a lot. What would be nice? A smile. It’s super cliche, but just like this. What else? So I’m applying highlighter while thinking about ideas and I don’t just put highlighter here and here. I cover my whole cheeks. Because I want them to be sparkly. First, I put on this Dior highlighter overall. It looks pretty good. I’m going to add another layer with fwee. It’s nice. So I add to the glitter like this, and isn’t it really cute? Nice. Wait, I forgot about the omurice issue! I’m going to use OFRA’s highlighter next. My makeup artist used it and it looked nice, so I got one as well. I think it’s American. This is really cute! How should I say this? It feels like pearls on your face. The highlighter has this purplish pink color. Can you see this? I always use this for the bends of my nose, no the end of my nose, and the front of my eyes. I made omurice for my younger brother a lot, and I would write his full name in kanji with ketchup too. I think I always went with letters. A few more layers. A few more. More on the nose bridge as well. And I put some on here as well. This part of the lips. That’s just me. So this is what it’s like. It’s okay, right? The fwee highlighter is probably the one making this glow here. fwee is nice. So that’s that. I put on highlighter however I want that day. And I also like to use this I used for eyeshadow before on my cheeks as well. This is quite cute. Just a little bit though, because applying too much can seem a little off. It’s hard to apply just a little bit, though. Very hard. When I laugh, my cheekbones go up, and this part stands out. And when I add a little bit of this onto that part, it looks nice when I laugh in the sun. That’s what I think, at least. I wonder if you can see this. You can, right? This is what it looks like. I really don’t have much left now. To finish off I just need to do my contour and under eye skin. I use this by Cezanne to contour. I use this. Ta-da! It has a blue base. I contour where our makeup artist contours. Just light strokes here. The outline of the face is most important. I make sure it’s not too thick. Also, I use this because blue suits my skin tone but it’s also nice to use brown. I think it might be hard to see. Contour is more for personal satisfaction, I feel like. So that’s it for contour. Last up, I’m going to draw my under eye skin a little more. I’m going to use CANMAKE’s Slim Shade Liner. I think it’s a bit pink. This part is the end of my under eye skin. So I draw like this. It’s hard to do this while looking at the camera. After this I blend it out with a brush. Just a little bit. Because there’s no point in drawing the line if I do too much. It’ll all go away. Look! Now my under eye skin is really evident. My skin doesn’t look like this when I have no makeup on! Finally, I’m going to add glitter. This is essential. Sorry, everyone. This isn’t the last step. I have to put on lipstick as well, and that’s the most important part. Now I’m going to apply glitter. Putting glitter on everywhere would make my eyes too sparkly, so I just put it on here. Like this. Just in the middle. And I spread it out a tiny bit. Next is it the middle of the eyelids? Add a tiny bit here. After that, blend it a little bit. Just a little. Then even when I open my eyes I can see the glitter. Can you see here? You can see it when my eyes are open, and it’s also cute when they’re closed. So this is what it’s like. And this glitter is the Wonjungyo Diamond Liner. 05. Can you see this? It’s in collaboration with CipiCipi. This is really nice, I recommend it. And now, as I put on lipstick I’m going to answer one last question. I know what it’s like to compare yourself with other people. I really know what that’s like. This is hard. But there are times in which I subconsciously compare myself to others and get sad about it. But well, how should I say this? There’s nothing you can gain from comparing yourself to others and getting sad, right? Rather than feeling down over something you don’t have I think it’d be nice to think about what you have or what you’re better at compared to other people. At least, that’s what I chose to do. And with that I knew I may lack in some areas, but can also shine brighter than anyone else in other areas so I found confidence there and focused on what I was good at. “Even if I’m bad at some things, I’m good at other things, so it’s okay.” That’s the mindset I cultivated, and I recommend the same to you. I don’t have a specific product I use every time but today, I’m going to apply a pink color as a base color and then use this Anna Sui product next. Ta-da! I like this product, and it’s super sparkly. Rather than using this for the entire lips, it’s better to dab slightly as a finishing touch. I’m going to do that today. I’ll use the base color first. I’m done with the base, and this already looks really cute! My face has changed! I’m sure that took you aback. Finally, I’m going to put this lipstick on, and I’ll use a brush to do so. You can use whatever lip brush you have. I only have this, so I’m going to use this. It’s so nice! Very cute! Maybe I’ll put a bit more on here. I just dab like this. Can you see this? It’s all sparkly. This is what it looks like. That’s done. All done with the lips! I usually use pink. So I go with this. Now… Never mind. I’m going to put on colored contacts last! This is bad. I almost forgot. OLENS’ Glowy. Ash Gray. Will this look okay? I’m going to open my eyes like this, but here goes. It looks really cute! To be honest, I just got these, so it’s my first time putting them on. So I was also worried about how they’d look, but I think they’re cute. I’m all done now, and these colored contacts really are nice. How do they look? All done! I’m done with my makeup! Ta-da! I do my makeup like this and either film TikTok videos, go to a shoot, or just hang out. Thank you for waiting. I’m all done now. That was KENMOTSU NANO’s makeup look. To just summarize today’s look’s key points I use glitter mostly here and here. This is a big one. I also make sure to separate each eyelash. It’ll be easier to see close up. Finally, use sparkly eyeshadow on the cheeks. If you put it on the part of your cheekbones that stick out most, it’ll sparkle when you smile. I always use about two lipsticks, one as the base and another one that sparkles. The product I used today is by Anna Sui and it makes your lips sparkle, and finishes a super fancy makeup look. Should I answer another question in the meantime? “I stay up until way too late nowadays. What are tips you have on falling asleep fast?” Sleeping late at night. It’s something you want to do. Wow, you can’t see my face at all, right? Ha. I’m adding volume here. I used to stay up until really late as well. In high school and college. But at one point, I do recommend falling asleep early. Even if it’s just for one day, sleeping early will lead you to wake up early as well, right? When you start your day early, you get tired at about nine. And it’s also important to not take naps. And sleeping right when you get tired. Those things are important. There are times when you’re tired and yet you want to be on your phone so suppressing that and sleeping is key. Then you’ll naturally wake up and sleep early. I did that and got a new, fresh life habit. That looks nice. I curl my hair like this. After I curl my hair I hold on to the hair along my face and make it look like this. Make? If I think that’s not enough, I hold this part like this and curl just this part and almost lift it up. If I let go like this it looks nicer. Like this. Okay! That’s done for the left side. Moving on to the right side. After I’m done there are times in which I’ll just leave right away but right now, since my hair just looks wavy at the end I also take this part. I hold the hair near my roots and slightly curl that part as well. How should I explain this now? First, let me just cool this down. Time to cool. I think this looks nice. So I’ve curled my hair like this, and if I comb it out a little… Look. How’s this? This leads to more curves here, right? For the oil, sorry, I already have some on, so I’ll show you the product later. I rub it with my hands so it’s on my fingers and just shake. I don’t apply oil with much care. I just think all I need is that shine on my hair. I put some here as well. I want to put some on the parts I curled as well. So this is what it’s like. Okay! My hair oil is from N.DOT. Quite famous.
