So, it’s been about a month since we moved into our new home, so today I’d like to give you a room tour of my home. Firstly, here’s my favorite part, the entrance. If you ‘d like, I’d like you to also take a look at the room tour before the renovation . What do you think of this completely changed, modern entrance? We discussed this quite a bit, but I really wanted light, so we both agreed on this simple , stainless-steel-like design with windows on both sides. And this is the latest smart lock. I’ve always wanted to live without keys , so finally being able to install it has made things so much more comfortable . The walls around here haven’t been touched at all, and these are just accessories that were there originally, belonging to the previous tenant. It’s cute, so I hang locks on it, and the other side is like this too. I’m using it as it is, but I ‘ve never had a fully-furnished entrance before, so although it’s not that spacious, it’s very easy to use and I love it. I also love this shoe cabinet, and I actually wanted to change this door, but once I painted the whole thing with plaster and changed the atmosphere, the retro feel of this area created a nice mismatch, so I’m thinking of leaving it as it is, but it really makes a difference whether or not there is storage in the entrance, and I keep my small items here and get ready when I go out. A stand of this height is incredibly convenient, and I actually thought it would be nice to keep it neat and tidy with nothing on it, but after all, it’s right when you come in, and it’s connected to the living room, so it’s like a wall in the room, so I decorate it with incense, lights, flowers, etc. So, my beloved basket fits nicely here , so I’ve also set up storage here. I moved into my new house and haven’t used it once yet, but I really wanted to set up a Roomba here, so I had an outlet installed here. It fits in nicely, but it’s still easier to use a broom, so the Roomba isn’t running yet. Yes, and if you look at the before picture, you’ll see that there was still a wall here, and this is the hallway, and if you go to the right there’s a staircase, and if you go to the left there’s a hallway. That was the previous state , and there was also a door here, and if you entered from here, there was a room of about 6 tatami mats here, but by removing this and this , we were able to create a living room that is open to the entrance . This part couldn’t be removed, but in the end I’m glad that I didn’t. Okuhira-san’s -We have a Chair-X here, and although we don’t have anything else in it, we have this big basket we bought at a flea market a long time ago with a roller attached to it , and we keep massage items that we both use often, yoga mats, and roller blinds, which are light-transmitting types from Nitori. We’re using the same type of blinds that we had in our old house in Okudaira-based. And our family’s symbol, Benjamin Franklin, has outgrown him in height, but he still towers over us in this corner. I’m glad you all noticed, but we also have this antique long table , which we’ve placed right on this large white plaster wall, and we use it to organize all the messy wires and cords around here. You can see it a little bit in the picture right now, but this Aladdin Marka is extremely capable, and it can project with such a super short throw, so I feel like it has really improved our quality of life. And connected to this is the kitchen. 。 English: I also really like the kitchen . It’s a brand new, pure white kitchen. For more details, I think it would be best to watch Okuhira’s video, but I also really like it . White really does make you want to keep it clean, it’s bright, and it makes food look great, but there’s also this three-burner stove, lined up side by side. At first, I thought it wasn’t necessary, but actually, when we were living in two places, this one in our previous home and the other , I noticed that when you’re cooking like this, this handle ends up being around here. Normally, it would get caught on something, but by making it three-burner, it’s set back a little , which means that that problem is gone, and I can also put small items in front of it, so it’s so much easier to use, which I quietly love. The sink is also wider, and it’s a drawer type, which is something I’ve always wanted . Until now, I had a hard time with storage with double doors, but now that it’s a drawer type, I’m still not used to it, but it feels great. And in the middle, I installed a dishwasher, which I’d been considering for a long time. By installing it, we have less storage space, but we’ve been using it full-time every day for a month now, and it’s become an indispensable part of our home. 、 和食器のある暮らし を聴きたい。 English : So, here there was originally a recess, but we added more depth for the refrigerator and broke it down so that the fridge that we had been using before would fit in. The kitchen walls were originally white, so we didn’t have time to repaint them, but they had put up plasterboard in this area, so we painted it white with a paint roller. And here is a built-in storage shelf. We’re using it like this now, and it’s very easy to use. Over there is the entrance and over here is the living room, but when you look at it from the living room where we usually sit, the angle is such that you can’t see the bulky appliances over here, so I don’t know if that’s intentional , but I like that too. So I think that makes the pure white stand out even more in the video . And here is another corner I love. It almost feels like Okuhira Square , but we moved in the IKEA table that we’d been using before and left it as it is, and I really like it . Until now we had a separate cooking table and work table in the kitchen, but now we use this as both a dining table and a work table, so it’s quite spacious. I’ve always wanted two people to be able to pass through here. I’m so happy and comfortable to be able to do this now. This window has blinds that were originally there, but we used them. They’re made of aluminum , I think , and are very modern. It ‘s a nice mix of retro, and I really like it. And this is Okudaira’s study. It’s a cute study. It’s small, but this is also a table that we got together at a flea market a long time ago . We had been talking about this from the moment we decided to buy this house , and we actually wanted to remove it here, but there was already a closet here , so we couldn’t remove it in the end. But it made a nice divider, so he wanted to put this monitor here, and in the end, this is his workspace, which works well, and I like the flow of space. I don’t do that, but it means one chair is enough. When he’s dining , he uses it like this, and when he’s working , he uses it like this. We don’t have a TV at home, so he can spend time in the kitchen watching anime or movies on here. Originally , this lovely door connected the hallway to the kitchen , but we kept it and replaced the floor, so we had new rails laid on the floor. Yes, this is also here. So, I’m often asked, “Is it okay to leave this pillar as it is?” But I’m thinking of enjoying it as it is for the time being and there doesn’t seem to be any safety issues, so I’m thinking of just leaving it as it is and carving in my height and using it as is. What’s more, this pillar is actually quite nice . I don’t have a relaxing chair at the moment , so I’ve been using this piano stool for a while, and it doubles as a backrest. When I want to take a short break , I use it like this to play with my smartphone. The pillar is great. It’s nice to sit under it, and I really like it . This chair has a sliding mechanism, so I use it in a variety of places. And next, this is my favorite space. I like the frosted glass here, or the old-fashioned design , so I asked them to keep the door here . This area is also plastered all over, but this one surface in particular is plastered quite thickly, boldly, and dynamically for various reasons , and it’s now very impressive and a favorite of mine. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but I love this place, and that’s exactly why I renovated it. Even before we started , I thought, Oh, this place will definitely be good, but first of all, this was the only storage space on the first floor, and it had a big door, but we had the door removed and I’ve packed all my things in here. This is the most convenient place in the middle of the house , so I absolutely had to get this, and this is where I keep my small things, and it ‘s also where I can do some work. It’s not finished yet, so I’d like to introduce it to you when it’s finished. Well , we weren’t particularly picky about the sink , so we talked it over and chose a size that would fit, and we decided on a Panasonic sink. 裏地付き。 English: The door is also unusual , and I chose a light blue one as it would act as an accent colour and is refreshing in a bathroom area. The storage isn’t very deep, but I keep my hair dryer and my cosmetics in there. There is a little space left underneath, so I use it to store our stationery and medicine-related cleaning products from MUJI . The bathroom mirror isn’t a three-way mirror, but rather opens from one side, and has three levels of storage, so we store our toothbrushes and other miscellaneous items in there . We worked hard to paint this area with plaster, but the backside of the bathroom mirror is untouched. At the end of this corridor is the bathroom. I can’t remember where it is now , but it was a slightly old-fashioned door with slightly larger glass panes. Personally, I thought it was a little too see-through and there was a window underneath, so I asked them to replace it with a simple white door, leaving this cute window intact. The doorknob is also white, giving it a minimalist feel. It’s positioned low, so Showa-era doors are definitely a thing. This is what the bathroom looks like. The windows have an old-fashioned feel to them. Who’s in here? We updated the toilet too . It opens automatically, and I love how it looks like a minimalist AirPods. And the mysterious tubes are a nice touch, too. We wallpapered the walls and chose the flooring myself. It’s retro and cute. 、 部屋からの眺めも 見た目に反して徒歩3分 English: When you leave the restroom, there is the laundry room and bathroom next door. Although it is actually a tiny space of less than 1 tatami mat , there is really no storage on the first floor, so Okudaira’s clothes are hung here on a tension rod, which is also great. It ‘s really convenient and, since there is also no storage, we changed the laundry basket to a MUJI one and hung it on this door . It is a little late at night so it has a lived-in feel, but you can also go outside from here and this flow is perfect for us as we are going to the beach. And this is the bathroom. We also replaced the bathroom with a new one, and both of us agreed, so we decided to unify the walls with a slightly gray color and also chose the option of not attaching anything to the walls, so we were particular about not adding shelves or mirrors. As for lighting , I thought this might not be necessary, but I’m glad I did it because you can dim the lights a little, and I love that you can make it this dark. The bath is also comfortable. And that ‘s all for the first floor. 。 English: Now, I’d like to introduce the second floor. I also really like this staircase. We go up this staircase, which is visible from the living room and has a great presence . The second floor seems to be hardly used, so I’ll give you a quick introduction. It’s a little dark at night, but this room is also all plastered and is about 8 tatami mats in size . There was a shelf here for the previous resident’s collection, but we removed it and, just like on the first floor, took out the door and made it into a continuous L-shaped space . I’m glad we were able to keep this retro lighting as it is. It’s so cute. And here too, we kept the lighting and used something cute, but Okudaira put it together on the spot, and all the storage is here. There are four closets, so we keep both of our things in there. I was daydreaming about what to put here, and at the moment we haven’t used it much, but I would like to make use of it in winter. So we decided to make this into a bedroom . We also had the movers work hard to get this huge bed in through the window. I received it and just placed it there. I used the blinds that were originally there, and this shelf was also originally there, but when you open this cute window , the stairs and entrance are just below. So even without putting anything else in it, these little details make it a cute bedroom. So what did you think of the room tour of my new home?
