Hello. I’m Takumi Shina, an Xbox-only VTuber. Today, I’ll be introducing new titles being added to Game Pass in the first half of August and those being removed on August 15th. Please watch until the end. Rain World will be available on Game Pass from August 6th. Since it’s not a J-title, it will also be available on Game Pass Standard. This action game involves controlling a creature called a slug cat and surviving in a huge ruined jungle. Its appealing 16-bit worldview makes it a captivating title. While it looks like an action platformer, the gameplay is more survival-oriented, with players exploring the map, securing food, and progressing to the next base. Consumed food does not replenish, so players must explore a harsh world while avoiding predators. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on Game Pass from August 7th. This title commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed series, released in 2023 . Unlike recent Asakur games , which tend to be extremely large and feature RPG elements, this latest installment, Mirage, is themed around the origins of the game . It’s set in the Middle East, just like the first game, and focuses on stealth and parkour assassinations. The game itself is also compact, not as long as recent titles . If you haven’t played Mirage yet, or if you’re a fan of the previous Asakur series, why not give this one a try? Alien Fireteam Elite will be available on Game Pass from August 12th. Since it’s not an A1 title, it will also be added to Game Pass Standard. This is a three-player cooperative TPS game inspired by the Alien movie . It was removed from Game Pass in December 2022, but has now been re-added. This title is not available in Japanese. 9 Kings will be available on PC Game Pass from August 14th. This is a deck-building, kingdom-building game with roguelike elements created by a Brazilian indie game studio . In this game, you use cards to place soldiers and facilities, strengthen your military, and survive turn-based battles against enemies. This title is available as a game preview version, exclusively on PC Game Pass. Furthermore, Descendants Nest was released as a surprise on July 22nd and is also available on Game Pass. This sports game allows you to enjoy snowboarding and mountain boarding. Snowboarding takes you across snowy mountains, while mountain boarding takes you across lush summer mountains. Complete challenges set in each stage and reach the finish line. Japanese is not available. While this is currently a game preview version , it also supports achievements . It’s a shame that it’s only available in Japanese, but it also supports online multiplayer, so if you’re interested, why not give it a try? Also, a free update for Crime Scene Cleaner was released on July 30th, adding a new nightmare mode, new challenges, skins, and more . This is a first-person cleaning simulation game in which you are ordered by a crime boss to clean up the scene of a rebellion, cleaning up and destroying evidence. The update also adds 18 achievements. This title is currently available on Game Pass. It’s one of the most interesting cleaning titles, so if you haven’t played it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. A free update will be released for Genesis Saga Hellblade 2 on August 12th , making it the Enhanced Edition. This is the first title for the Xbox Game ST, released last May . The Enhanced Edition finally adds a Performance Mode, supporting 60 FPS only on Xbox Series X. The frame rate was one of Hellblade 2’s main complaints, so this addition is a great one. Other features include a new Challenge Mode, an expanded Photo Mode, and developer commentary. The game boasts breathtaking, powerful, and horrifying visuals, making it one of the most beautiful action games I’ve ever played . However, the puzzles and combat lack innovative systems, making it feel less fresh and more focused on visual quality than gameplay . It’s a compact, easy-to-play title, so if you’re interested but haven’t played it yet, why not take a look at this update? It’s also been announced that Japanese subtitles for Hellblade 2, released on July 30th, will be available this fall . This is the sequel to the survival game set in the backwaters of Obsidian . It was released as a game preview version at launch, with long-term updates planned. Considering it took roughly two years for the previous game to support Japanese subtitles , it feels incredibly fast that it will be available this fall. We will provide more information as soon as it’s available in Japanese. Also, Obsidian’s new game, Abominable , finally received Japanese subtitles in an update on July 16th . If you haven’t played it yet , why not give it a try? Next, we’ll introduce the titles that will be removed from Game Pass on August 15th. Anthem is available on EA Play. While games are generally not removed from EA Play, Anthem’s service will end in January next year, so it will be removed from EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate. Since it will no longer be playable after the service ends, if you want to try out Ansem before it ends, why not give it a try? Palming Simulator 22 will be ending after three years and three months. It’s a farming simulation game that lets you experience realistic farming using delivery tools . This title was released in 2021. The latest installment, 25, was released on Game Pass this month, replacing it, and the series will end a year and a half after the addition of Persona 3 Reload. It’s a full remake of Persona 3, released on the PS2 in 2006. It ‘s a game that’s been enhanced in every way, with new scenes and events, animations, and improvements to Tartarus for easier exploration . Rather than a bold overhaul, the remake is as close to the original as possible. Persona 3’s story is undoubtedly the best. While the comic system has become standard in the series, playing Persona 3 really makes you think about who you want to spend your limited time with, and the story and system are a perfect match. It’s a very long game, so starting now and playing through to the end might be a bit of a challenge, but if you ‘ve stopped midway through, I highly recommend giving it a go. It took me about 55 hours to complete it. Incidentally, Episode Agis, the DLC for this title, was available for free to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers until January 1st of this year . While those who subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate at the time likely received it, please note that this is DLC for the main game, and once Persona 3 Reload is removed from Game Pass, the DLC itself will become inaccessible unless you purchase the main game .
