Known for avoiding large venues, his rare appearance led to a quick sell out of tickets despite a heavy rain throughout the day. The skies cleared just 30 minutes before his performance. The audience included many older fans and even three generation families highlighting his crossgenerational appeal as Yamashita appeared on screen and greeted the crowd with a pleas to meet you. The venue erupted in excitement.
