中古の軽バンで日本一周ついに再開、総額240万円かけて内装をフルカスタムしました。

Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Long time no see! Papa Clipper is finally out of the hospital! Yaaay! If you just started watching me recently, you probably don’t know what Papa Clipper is. It’s my beloved van, the NV Clipper. Yup, my ride-or-die NV Clipper! I got it from my dad, so I combined “Papa” and “Clipper” and now I call him Papa Clipper. The last time I uploaded a video with this van was like eight months ago! It’s been in the shop all that time. But it’s finally back now! So, I’ve been doing this trip around Japan in my little van, and I’ve been to about 11 of the 47 prefectures so far. So I’ve covered roughly a quarter of Japan! But I’d been traveling in it just the way my dad left it, which honestly made things kinda rough… So I took my time and totally revamped the interior! The outside still looks exactly the same though. But inside? It’s a whole new vibe. Anyway, let’s hop in the driver’s seat, shall we? Ahh, this feels so nostalgic! The farthest I’ve taken Papa Clipper was— To Akita in the east, and Kyoto in the west! Okay, here comes a surprise quiz! There are two things in this view right now that look different than before. Can you spot them? *Insert self-made BGM 🎶* The answer is… the seat and the curtain! Did you guess it right? About this seat— The original one that came with the van was suuuper gross ‘cause my dad smoked a lot. It was seriously dirty. Every time I sat down, it went poof— Basically, it was a passive smoking seat 😭 I had the seat inside cleaned up too, and got this cute new cover put on. Now it’s totally spotless! It honestly feels like a brand new car (emotionally speaking)! And about this curtain— I used to sleep in this car pretty often. While traveling across Japan, I’d just crash in the van wherever. But setting up the sunshade in the front was a huge hassle, so I added curtains instead! Now the front is the driver’s zone, and the back has officially become my secret hideout. Alright folks, let me show you my little secret space! Here we gooo! Behold—the NEW Papa Clipper! Open sesaaame! It had such a glow-up! So cute, right? Look at this! It used to be a basic cargo van… Now it’s looking all fancy and proper! Papa Clipper’s all grown up (?). I wanted the whole vibe to feel warm and cozy, so I had everything redone in wood grain. And painted it all white to keep it bright and soft. Isn’t it just the cutest?? For the hardware and stuff here, I wanted to add a personal touch— like using lights with a rusty, vintage vibe. I went for this antique brass color for everything! And look at this little sink! Yup, it actually works and water comes out! Buuut I think I’ll save it for later today. I’ll use it properly when I’m back on the road again. Today’s theme is… water conservation! Here’s what it looks like from the back! *A table that works as both a kitchen & work space* I can do my makeup here, or cook up something yummy! I even got myself a rice cooker and a toaster for this area. I’m totally a rice person, but sometimes I get a craving for toast too, so I made sure I can enjoy both! Had to cover all the basics (because I’m greedy like that)! Aren’t the rice cooker and toaster just adorable?? They fit the space perfectly, and I picked ones with the cutest colors too! And right above the kitchen, I’ve got this little light installed. You can turn it on and off with this switch (total game changer). This switch right here— it’s actually super customizable, which apparently isn’t that common. *Unleashed my inner diva and asked for it anyway* So when I flip this switch up, this light over here turns on— and it’s a warm orange color! I picked that shade so my food would look extra yummy. And when I flip this other switch— this side lights up in white. I wanted to use this light for makeup sessions, so I can actually see my skin clearly. It’s like a little actress vanity light! And when I close this curtain… Boom—total me-time zone unlocked. There’s storage underneath here too, but I’ll show you that in more detail later! Inside the storage area, I’ve got a mirror. So yep, I can do my makeup right here too. Oh, also— I had the distance between the chair and the workspace set a bit closer, so it’s super easy and comfy to do makeup and stuff. Like this—see? Very functional and smooth. *Not just cute—totally practical too!* I really wanted everything to have a soft and cozy vibe, so I had them round off the corners like this. Even the edges of the wood here were sanded down. All these tiny details— I had them make it all nice and rounded. Even the power outlets—I had them rounded off too. *Rounded stuff is just way cuter, right?* Now, about this chair… As you all probably know by now, I’m totally obsessed with lying down—GORON mode. But yeah… this space is way too small for that. So I had a little hidden trick built in! Ah, oops—I’m in the way lol Tadaaa! It transforms into a bed! Isn’t that so cool?? But like, sleeping on it like this… would totally hurt, right? Yeah, not comfy at all. So in that case… ready, set— I pulled out the mattress that I had stashed under the bed! Now I can fully enter GORON mode! So happy. I kinda wanna test it out—let’s lie down. Look at this! I’m about 162 cm tall, and I can stretch my legs out completely! This is actually pretty legit. Also love that no one can see my face while I sleep. Buuut if I keep lying here too long, this video’s just gonna end like this lol So let’s move on to the next thing! Oh yeah—this outlet here? It’s got enough wattage to power stuff like hair irons and blow dryers! I charge cameras and stuff too, and I’ve got a *ton* of things that need charging. So I had them install like 10 outlets total. Yeah, I went extra. But the thing I was *most* picky about— is this little window right here. Yup, it’s an actual window. When I sleep in the van, I really wanted to watch the sunrise from inside. So I practically begged them to add this! Alright, let me show you! *It’s giving serious Sylvanian Families vibes—so cute!* At first, it was just the frame around the window, but it didn’t really feel like a “real” window. So I had them add an acrylic pane in the middle! Now it looks like this—super charming, right? And they even turned this spot into a mini counter! So I can sit here, watch the sunrise, and sip on… beer or… *Oops, I meant coffee! I swear it’s coffee!* Anyway, I thought it’d be so dreamy to start my mornings like that. At this point, you’re probably thinking, “Wait… is this really the inside of a kei van?” And yep—it totally is! I mean, Papa Clipper seriously leveled up. The interior of this van was actually done by a company called B-Stage, which specializes in camper vans and kitchen car builds. They customized the entire interior for me! There are still lots of secret features and clever tricks I haven’t shown you yet… But I’m gonna save those for another time. I’ll show them off little by little as I travel around in the future. So stay tuned for more of my Japan road trip series! Anyway, since we’re here… should we go for a little drive? Kinda nervous to drive again after so long… …even though I already drove to get here lol Alrighty, let’s hit the road! Wow, it’s been forever since I said that. Oh right— I added a curtain behind the driver’s seat, so I can’t see out the back window anymore. But instead, I had a monitor installed, so now it’s basically like a truck setup— I can check the rear view using the screen! Oops… wrong turn. *Off to a great start 😅* It almost doesn’t feel like my car anymore. It’s got that “new car” freshness! *Kinda feels like I borrowed it—so I’m weirdly tense* *Please don’t judge my face when I do safety checks lol* Alrighty, time for a little drive! If your house shows up in the background, drop a comment lol Man, driving again feels so good. It’s honestly kinda fun! Hold up—focus time! *Merging is the most intense part of driving* So actually, I’m in Odaiba right now. You can totally see DiverCity from here! And from here, I’m actually— heading to the next prefecture on my Japan van trip! Guess where I’m off to next? Okay, hint time… It’s either in Kansai or Kanto 😏 *That tells you basically nothing* Well, I guess the title already gave it away, so you probably already know. But yeah, this whole custom build? It cost me about $10,000! (RIP my savings) But it’s fine—I had been saving up for this for ages. Still, I mean… This is definitely the biggest purchase I’ve made in my life. That includes stuff like battery replacements, new tires, and a bunch of other upgrades. They really kitted it out for me! They even made sure it’s all safe and good to go. So don’t worry—totally road-legal! Some people might wonder, “Can you even pass inspection with that?” But B-Stage are total pros at this kind of custom work, so they made sure everything’s by the book. We’re all good! Driving around Odaiba kinda feels like the Tokyo I used to imagine as a kid. It’s actually really fun to cruise through here. So yeah, this mini van series is gonna be all about traveling around and exploring new places. If you’ve been into my travel and vehicle videos, I hope you’ll fall in love with this van too! So yeah, even though I’m driving right now— Papa Clipper is back and better than ever! You’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of him in future vids. So stick around and keep watching, okay? Sorry I can’t look directly at the camera much 😅 Thanks so much for watching till the end! If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe to my channel, leave a comment, and give it a thumbs up!
