It’s Bitcoin and Ethereum. Together.

What’s Hemi? How does it work? What are you doing? You can think of Hemi as a Bitcoin and Ethereum L2. And so what we set out to do with Hemi was take the architecture that allows Ethereum L2s to function very securely in the Ethereum ecosystem context and then basically add in connectivity to Bitcoin in a way that was cohesive with everything already going on on the Ethereum side. And so we took the best parts of Bitcoin, the best parts of Ethereum. We basically combined them together in a single protocol that speaks both languages. What that looks like from a more detailed perspective is Bitcoin security, Bitcoin assets and access to Bitcoin state and combine that with the existing innovations and tooling that we have with the Ethereum EVM and also use Ethereum for DA or data availability because that’s one of the areas where Ethereum is really shining.

@hemi_xyz brings Bitcoin’s assets and security to Ethereum’s innovation – programmability.

Bitcoin for trust.
Ethereum for tooling.
Built for what comes next.
