【イラスト上達】他の人と差がつく!?おすすめ本 5選
This video is a re-upload of an older video. Some of the other videos mentioned in this video may not have been re-uploaded yet or may have broken links. I will slowly re-upload the videos so please be patient. So, please go ahead and watch the video. Hello, I’m Naoki Saito. This time we have 5 amazing books. I’ll introduce five books that will help you improve your illustration skills and set you apart from others just by reading them. I have recommended the book several times. This time, I would like to introduce a book that will help you improve your basic skills. “When I’m drawing from actual landscapes or photographs, I don’t know what criteria to use.” This is a must-see for anyone feeling that anxiety, so watch until the end. Let me introduce you. “SHUNSATSU, action pose 06.” Let me introduce this first. This is “SHUNSATSU, action pose 06.” I recommend this book. This will be useful for those who want to draw pictures of lively girls in motion. This is only natural. When men want to draw illustrations of girls, there are no girls they can use as reference for their drawings. That’s fine for basic poses, but it can be difficult when drawing a dynamic image. I want to see her in motion, not just in a teasing or sad pose. There is no girl around you that you can ask to pose in a certain way while wearing a certain outfit. Even if it was there, I wouldn’t be able to take a picture of it. It’s a cool pose, jumping with all his might. The sword is slashing with great force, creating a dynamic pose. Capturing that moment would be difficult without a large studio and a professional photographer. It’s difficult for me to prepare that scene. This is good news for you. There is “SHUNSATSU, action pose 06”. This book is full of photos of girls in poses that are difficult to capture. That’s all there is here. Here is the pose. I could never take this picture myself. This is cool. Notice the wrinkles on this skirt. This is amazing. The wrinkles in the skirt in the photo book make it difficult to see the shadow shapes. It helps with poses, but sometimes I want to see the shading in more detail. The “SHUNSATSU, Action Pose” series continues to improve. In this book, the black pleated skirt, which had difficult shadows to see, was painted gray, and they succeeded in capturing the shadows beautifully. This spirit of small updates is great. Look at this picture. I couldn’t take a photo of these beautiful wrinkles in the skirt myself. This is easy to see and use as a reference in terms of shading. Some people have already noticed this. I’m encouraging it so I’m leaving a comment here. If you want to draw a girl in a dynamic pose, check this out. “Rhythm and Force”. There are people who, after reading this book, have had the following thoughts: “I appreciate the value of photo books and understand your recommendation of them.” “Even when I see a realistic photograph, I can’t turn it into a painting.” When you look at a photo and try to draw it, many people feel, “When I look at that, I don’t know what to think about when I draw it.” I can relate to that. I’ve tried drawing from pictures many times, but I never manage to come up with a good sketch that I’m not happy with. “Does my talent for drawing have anything to do with that?” If I don’t get better at it, I despair at myself every time I practice. That’s okay. It’s not because of talent. This is because you are drawing without knowing how to draw realistic objects in 2D, so it doesn’t look good. This is a book I would recommend to that person. “Rhythm and Force”. This book contains criteria, thoughts, and perspectives for sketching. It provides detailed instructions on how to create professional looking drawings. This is clear from the title, “What should I keep in mind when drawing?” What this book teaches us is that if you sketch while thinking about rhythm and force, your drawing will improve. When we sketch a photo, we draw an anatomical view of the human body structure to learn basic drawing skills. “The bones and muscles are like this, so if they’re not drawn like this, it’s abnormal.” Many people find this way of thinking restrictive. This book doesn’t explain that. This is the exact opposite of that expression. Look at this photo in terms of movement and mass, not anatomy. “If we simplify this energy, we can draw a line like this.” This strong line is called DIRECTIONAL FORCE. Shaping the human body using this DIRECTIONAL FORCE creates rhythm. A painting without this rhythm is boring. The reason why even photorealistic paintings seem boring is because they fail to express rhythm. To draw an attractive picture, don’t just think about the structure of the human body, but feel the DIRECTIONAL FORCE. Therefore, being aware of creating a well-formed rhythm is essential for drawing well. This is what this book is trying to say. The book’s view of rhythm and force is full of sensory nuances. This is a more difficult concept to understand than the idea of human anatomy. This has many examples and drawing techniques. This is illustrated in a variety of patterns. This is a reckless story, but reading this book will give you an understanding of rhythm and force. This is when you draw a picture while looking at a real person, or when you draw a character illustration using a photograph as reference. It’s an ideal force that you can feel and express in a fascinating two-dimensional picture. This book will be a tool to help you express the good feelings you want to convey through your pictures. Check this out. “YOOICHI KADONO SKETCHES.” Some of you may be thinking the same thing after listening to what I have to say so far. “I understand the rhythm and the forces that are introduced, but it’s conceptual and I don’t understand it.” That’s a good point, but the examples are conceptual so I’m not sure if they are useful. Are there any artists who actually use this approach to create compelling and distinctive paintings? “Please introduce me to that person so that I can use their work as a reference and incorporate it into my own knowledge.” Has anyone felt that way? I can empathize. A clear example of this is easy to come by. That’s this book. “YOOICHI KADONO SKETCHES”. This is a sketchbook published by Born Digital. Is that a coincidence? This book is a sketchbook of a writer who has mastered “Rhythm and Force.” This is a beautiful depiction of the person depicted, as if he were the Force incarnate. This book contains beautiful sketches that will make you feel like, “I want to be able to draw these pictures.” The sketches shown here are like an experience of rhythm and force. This page puts the ideas of rhythm and force into practice. I draw DIRECTIONAL FORCE, which I feel is beautiful, and express the structural persuasiveness of the human body. It’s easy to see that they are drawn in that order. This is a textbook example of “if I can do this, it creates a good feeling.” This is beautiful. This page is a picture that expresses rhythm and force. This outline is a DIRECTIONAL FORCE. I didn’t introduce this, but the orange part says APPLIED FORCE. This is an ideal example of two rhythms. There are many wonderful illustrations here that are an extension of the way of thinking. This creates a beautiful silhouette no matter which way you look at it. Just looking at this makes me feel good. Using the concepts of rhythm and force as a guide, practice using the action pose collection while aiming for the ideal landing position. I think these books will help you develop your basic drawing skills. You don’t need to use all of this as a reference, but checking out the parts that interest you will help you improve your illustration skills. This is recommended. “TERRA BATTLE ARTWORKS”. So far I have introduced some helpful books on how to draw well. I will introduce some books that will help you draw good designs. I recommend “TERRA BATTLE ARTWORKS”. I love this book so much that I don’t want to recommend it. The illustrator for this book is KIMIHIKO FUJISAKA. This person’s paintings are distinctive and captivating. If you look closely, you’ll see that it has a unique and interesting design. He is a monk named KUSUKA who is a healer and an important main character. He has a good overall design, but he has a bit of a chubby belly. It gives off a human touch that makes me worry, “Is he training?” This is a strong character with a bone monster at his back. This character is a beautiful girl. When an illustrator draws a beautiful girl, he draws her with a soft silhouette and is conscious of curves to make her look cute. FUJISAKA does not portray her that way. She has a straight, diagonal silhouette. Look at this division. “I find this beautiful.” The same goes for the character on the next page. This is a straight line. There are very few illustrators who make this compromise. FUJISAKA’s designs are unique, charming and interesting. His designs place emphasis on the overall silhouette rather than the fine detail of each individual part. This is what makes the design so appealing. It’s a concept connected to rhythm and force. TERRA BATTLE ARTWORKS is recommended. “There’s still hope.” I introduced four books. It’s the appeal of sketching techniques, thinking, and design. In order to improve your illustration skills, you need to learn by incorporating a variety of different ways of thinking. Some people think this way. “I know I need to work hard to improve my illustrations, but I can’t keep up my motivation.” “I’m just an ordinary person.” “I’m anxious.” “Can I do it well if I try hard?” “I would like to see examples of ordinary people improving their drawing skills.” “That might be something I can try my best at.” I can relate to that. This not only applies to illustrators, but to all creators. It’s more difficult to generate motivation than it is to develop the skills. This book is recommended for that person. This is a book by popular YOUTUBER NATSUMESANCHI. “The more you drink, the better.” The title of this book is inspiring. It would be rude to describe them as ordinary people. They weren’t super talented or incredibly successful. NATSUMESANCHI was an ordinary office worker, but after overcoming various difficulties he has become a popular figure on YOUTUBE. Since the viewers of this channel do not know NATSUMESANCHI, I will give a brief introduction to them. This is a channel where GEN and SAYA from NATSUMESANCHI, a married couple who love drawing, take on fun challenges using various art materials. NATSUMESANCHI’s channel has interesting projects and gets a lot of views. They faced many hardships before becoming so popular. They worked at the company with the desire to “draw the pictures they like.” They were worried that they were too busy to realize their dreams. “We want to paint.” They harnessed that enthusiasm, took on challenges they could, and turned them into opportunities. It depicts them moving closer to their dreams. That is moving. Reading this book makes me motivated. It means, “I will carve out my own life with my own efforts, just like GEN and SAYA.” It includes a heartwarming scene where GEN proposes to SAYA. This is NATSUMESANCHI’s “SOREDEMO YAPPARI EGAKAKITAI”. This is recommended for people who lack motivation and want to get motivated. Check this out. These are five books that will help you improve your illustration skills and set you apart from others just by reading them. There may be times when you feel anxious while drawing, but at those times, try to input some information. When you allow yourself to think in different ways, it becomes an opportunity to move forward and open up new paths. I have included a URL with information about the book I introduced today in the description, so please check it out. This time I introduced a book that focuses on the act of drawing. Many people are not good at coloring or composition. This is a video introducing recommended books for this target audience. I don’t want to tell you, but I recommend five books that will help you improve your drawing skills. Check this out if you’re interested. See you in the next video. Goodbye.
