【北海道】魚酒場でコスパ最高の海鮮丼を大食い、これで並盛りはさすがに…
Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Right now, I’m in Sapporo, Hokkaido! This morning I stayed at a capsule hotel, checked out after that, and now I’m seriously starving. So yeah, I’m heading out for lunch now! When you think of Hokkaido, you think soup curry, ramen, seafood, jingisukan—so many options! It’s honestly hard to choose. I was super torn about what to eat, but I found a place that really caught my eye. So I’ve decided to go check it out! Alrighty, let’s head out! Alright, so this time— it’s the third video in my Hokkaido series! “Susukino-loving Suzuki”— the “Hungry Beast Mode” edition! Mission: Eat past my limit. The Asahi Beer and Black Nikka signs… You can stop staring at me now… I’m not drinking in the middle of the day! *Drinking at noon is a bit too Black Nikka’d…* Today’s target is a super popular seafood spot in Sapporo. It’s even been featured on TV before! Sounds like it’s a real hotspot. First time at Tanukikoji Shopping Street! There’s so much yummy-looking food— my head’s spinning! Look! One of those face cutout boards! …Yeah, I’ll pass this time. There it is—Shihachi Fish Market! That’s where I’m heading. Shihachi Fish Market Tanuki COMICHI Branch – Sapporo, Hokkaido 060-0062 Inside, you’ll find rows and rows of freshly caught seafood lined up. And the best part is— you can eat the fish right there on the spot! *The walls are completely covered in celeb autographs!* They call it a fish market where you can drink from noon to night— and yeah, there’s a huge variety of alcohol. But I’m on a no-drinking streak… so I’ll stay strong! Here’s what the menu looks like. No surprise—it’s Hokkaido! Even the seafood bowls are “Hokkaido huge”! (Get it?) They also had limited-edition uni bowls, and even sushi sets on the menu. *Time for the awkward calling-the-staff moment* Um… excuse me… I didn’t want to risk it, so I went with their most popular dish! Here it is—my seafood bowl! It looks insanely good and it’s huge! Isn’t this wild?! You can just see how fresh and plump it is. It looks sooo good… Alright then—let’s dig in! *?!* Wait… no, this isn’t what it looks like! Faced with all this seafood… I popped open a beer without even realizing it. Oh hey, there’s a little guide on how to eat it. They’ve got two types of house-made soy sauce— a light one, and a richer, thicker one. For leaner fish, use the light soy sauce. For fatty cuts, go for the rich one. Sounds legit! Alright, I’m gonna follow the rules and try it! I guess this one’s for the rich soy sauce? Okay—let’s try the tuna. Looks incredible. So good! It’s so soft it basically melts without chewing. Like—what?! This is amazing… It’s insanely delicious. But just a heads-up: my food review skills are… below zero. Hokkaido sashimi really *is* on another level. Last time I came to Hokkaido, I went to a sushi-go-round place called “Matsuriya,” and I was totally blown away then too. And now I’m reliving that same feeling all over again. There’s so much on this plate, I don’t even know where to start. *Correction: that’s not “normal size.” That’s a mountain.* Quick refueling break coming up! Fill me up—put it on my future success tab! Seriously, Hokkaido food is next-level. I haven’t even decided how I’m getting back yet. Might just pack up and move here instead. So, dear Hokkaido people—nice to meet you! This time, I came to Hokkaido on the Tohoku Shinkansen’s Gran Class! It was such a ride all the way up here. In the comments, so many of you asked me to take the longest ferry in Japan—from Nagoya to Tomakomai. I’ve been getting tons of requests for that one! So yeah… I think it’s finally time to give it a go. But… 40 hours at sea? I definitely need to mentally prepare myself for that. *2 nights, 3 days, no signal, and apparently super rocky… I’m kinda terrified.* Speaking of long trips— I’m also planning to restart my trip around Japan in a mini van soon! I’ve already decided on the next prefecture. So stay tuned for that, okay? Here’s a hint… it’s probably somewhere in Japan. *Wow, what a shocker.* This portion is seriously massive. No matter how much I eat, it feels like it never goes down. I could honestly eat this forever. Whoa—inside the rice too? There’s crab and whitebait packed in there! This is ridiculously luxurious. I love seafood so much I wanna move to Hokkaido— but I’m way too weak against the cold. If Hokkaido ever gets warm, I’m moving for sure. It says on the banner behind me too, but this place is actually run by a real fish market. They cook up the fish they get in that same day, and serve it super fresh! So you really get to eat ultra-fresh seafood. It’s insanely good. One day I wanna open my own fish shop, and just play the role of the customer who eats nonstop inside the store. The dish I ordered is called— “The Daily Ocean Special: 12 Kinds of Fresh Seafood Bowl.” It comes with 12 types of sashimi, so you don’t get bored halfway through—love that. It’s super fun getting to taste so many kinds of fish. I almost went for the double-stacked jumbo eel bowl, but I’m saving that one for next time! If there were an all-you-can-eat eel place… I’d probably be there morning, noon, and night. This stuff is crazy fresh and super plump. *Please pretend you didn’t hear that just now.* That’s literally me. People are probably thinking, “Who wears *that* in Hokkaido?” It’s cold outside, sure— but once you’re indoors, it’s actually pretty warm! Whenever it’s cold, I always think, “Okay, hot food it is!” Like, “Let’s go for ramen!” But then I get inside… and suddenly I’m like, “Eh, something cold sounds good too.” …Am I the only one? Well, let’s be real—when you’re hungry, anything sounds good. So good. Why is this stuff *so* delicious? So they’ve got two types of soy sauce—light and rich. I’m definitely team rich sauce. This one wins for me. So plump and juicy! Can you tell? Like— Is that coming through on camera? It’s seriously sooo plump. And now… witness my self-destruction. Everyone, please focus your eyes on my right hand chopsticks. *Wasabi just dropped my HP into the red zone.* Oh my god that wasabi is crazy spicy. Saying “Hokkaido is cold” is such a basic statement… but honestly kinda hilarious. Let me neutralize that with some beer. Couldn’t call the staff—so I went full Kyoro-chan mode. Normally I’d just give up at this point… But this is for the video, so I’ll push through and say something! Welcome to the “Can’t Call the Staff” club. President (unwillingly): Yuuka. We’re accepting new members. Here comes the final dish—grilled rockfish! Apparently, you’re supposed to mix it into your rice. Let’s see how much I should add… Looks like ochazuke—it’s gonna be good. Let’s dig in! It’s got such a gentle flavor. Perfect way to wrap things up. That night, I went bar hopping in Susukino… and ended up drinking way too much. When I watched the footage back, things got… a little wild. So I’ll sneak that one into the members-only section, just in case. The next main video will be the final one in the Hokkaido series! So definitely stay tuned for that. Thank you for the meal! Everything was absolutely delicious. This was my second time in Hokkaido, and I had seafood again— and honestly, it felt just as magical as the first time. It’s seriously that good. Next time I visit, I’m 100% eating seafood again. There was already a long line when I got there, so I figured it must be a super popular place. My expectations were sky-high… and the food still totally blew those expectations away. Even on the plate, there was a message saying “Let’s keep wild fish on our tables in 2048.” 2048 huh… By then I’ll be… like 25, maybe? Anyway, I hope I get to come back and eat here again. Thanks for watching all the way to the end today. Really appreciate it! If you enjoyed this video, please like, comment, and subscribe! Catch you later—bye bye! See ya!
