The title of this is “The Land of Harmony at Night”. Hello. I always enjoy watching your videos. Usually, I only draw illustrations of characters from Fan Art. I challenged myself to draw this picture with a background. This is the point I would like you to correct. It’s the atmosphere of the entire illustration and the depth of the background. I don’t usually draw pictures like this, so I researched various things and drew them. No matter how many times I redraw this, I can’t get it right. I usually draw illustrations for Fan Art. I would also like you to correct the design aspects of the characters. I would be happy if you could carefully correct the details of this. I will tell you my impressions after seeing this illustration. I thought the characters in this were very appealing. This is a unified red color. This sword is very cool. Everyone look at this. This is cool. This is a fox mask and eyes that glow suspiciously in the darkness. I found this fascinating. The characters and background of this one are clear about the world view he wants to portray. This is a person who has a clear direction in which to aim. He took on a challenge different from the illustrations he usually draws. Since he enjoys drawing, I think he will become good at drawing from now on. he is wonderful I will explain the points to correct this. He wants to bring out the depth of the background of this. He has already expressed the depth of this illustration. He has blurred this illustration. He consciously changes the lighting in the foreground and back of the illustration. He used various techniques to draw this. I have no need to correct the depth of such parts. However, he is not convinced about the depth of this. I thought the problem with this picture was not the depth. I thought this picture was already very good. Suppose there is a problem with this picture. I think the problem is that it’s not clear whether he wants to show the background or the characters. I thought a lot about this correction. He did his best to draw the background of this picture. If he takes advantage of the background of this picture. The presence of the characters in this picture will be slightly weakened. I thought about making corrections focusing on how to show the background of this. The main point of this picture is this character. This has a very strong character element. I will make corrections to put the spotlight on this character. He asked me to look at the design of this character. So I will make corrections in that direction. Usually, I don’t actively point out character designs. This time he has the request, so I will do it. I’ll start editing this. Before I correct the character design, I do something different first. There are other things I’m concerned about. I’ll fix that part first. I’m curious about the composition of this. This is appropriate. I divided this picture into three parts. The thing I pay most attention to on this screen is the moon. The characters in this picture are very good. However, since this focuses on the moon, the character’s presence becomes diluted. I will modify the composition like this. I did the rule of thirds. I decided to divide this into something similar to the Railman composition. I placed the character’s face in a prominent part. I also adjust the background position accordingly. I fixed it. This is before modification. There was a character’s face at the end of the building. This drew attention to other areas and was distracting. This didn’t make the character’s face stand out. I moved this whole building to the left. I rearranged the characters in just the right position. This naturally draws everyone’s attention to the characters. People look at the characters and see the background. This made priorities clear. There is a point that I am very concerned about. It’s a light/dark control. When I look at this picture, what do I see first? I mentioned that viewers pay attention to the parts of the painting where the difference in brightness is most obvious. This is the part of this picture where the difference in brightness is the clearest. That is the light part of this building. This is the part where there is a difference in contrast between the light and this frame. The audience’s attention is drawn to that. However, this part is not the part I want to highlight. I think it would be better to reduce the brightness contrast of this. This calmed me down a bit. I will explain the balance between brightness and darkness. The easiest way to do this is to darken the parts you don’t want to stand out. The bright part of this. It’s this ground. That’s this little shiny part. This has bright areas scattered here and there. This leaves me confused as to where to look. So I would modify it like this. I adjusted the brightness of the parts far from the light source to be darker. I adjusted it so that it was difficult for everyone’s gaze to go there. I adjust the front edge in the same way. This varies depending on people’s preferences. I direct this in a way that makes it easy to understand that the character is the main character. There is also this method. I use light to illuminate the background only around the characters. This makes the character’s silhouette stand out even more. This looks a little contrived. This is very easy to understand and turns into a cool illustration. I have the background ready for this. I correct the characters. I do something different before correcting the design aspects of the character. I will correct two of the illustrations. The first one is about how the light hits the character. In this illustration, there is a shadow all over the character’s face. This is impressive because it is backlit. This shines a light on many things. This obstructs the line of sight. I’ll adjust that part. I adjusted it. This can be backlit to your heart’s content. I also slightly adjust the lighting in the character’s eyes. Before this fix, only the eyeballs were glowing. The whites of this eye had a very dark impression. This was a balance that drew attention only to the eyeballs. I made the whites of the eyes a little brighter on this one. I avoided the unusual balance of the centerpiece of this one. I correct the character designs. The part that surprised me when I saw this character. It’s this sword. And the dignified figure of her holding it. I was surprised by the mystical feel of the oriental design of this. I think the aggressive atmosphere is one of the characters’ charms. I thought it was underemphasized in the design. I think the reason for this is the silhouette of the character. How does this emphasize aggression with a silhouette? That’s one way. This is before editing. This character’s hair is smooth overall. This had a slightly more mature atmosphere. This hair is curled outward. I include it a little more. I incorporated a harsh atmosphere into this silhouette. If this is not enough. In that case, this method is also effective. I don’t know if this is ears, hair, or horns. I made a pointy part on the silhouette of this. I think this allows for an aggressive nuance to be included. This character’s eyes are originally glowing. I think it’s also good to create non-human silhouettes. I had no idea what this part was. I apologize if I got that wrong. That’s it. I thought this was the character’s shoulder armor. I think you can sharpen the silhouette of this and make it look strong. I drew it. I don’t modify the character’s silhouette with this. There’s one more thing you need to think about when designing a character. It’s a sense of density. In particular, raising the density around the face by one step higher than in other areas will improve the look. I will include it and review the design of this. I will modify the design here. I think the mask was not dense enough before correction. I added more patterns around the mouth and eyes of the mask to give it a sense of density. I also modify the density of the character’s face. This may be a little different from the design. Even just adding a few fine eyelashes will increase the sense of density. I drew it. I also redrawn the mouth of this one a little. This is completely my preference. If you don’t agree with this, please ignore this. I didn’t find this character very personable. I thought she looked better with a cold impression. I stopped the smile on her face. I will compare this picture before and after the correction. There are few parts that I have redrawn. I increased the density around the character’s face. What do you think of this comparison? I think everyone can compare these and see that the density has increased in this part. Don’t you think this character’s presence has increased? I will also redraw other parts. A sense of density was created around this character’s face. This feels like the other parts have less density. For example, this obi part. I’ll adjust here. I haven’t redrawn this part extensively. I added this decoration. You can increase the sense of density by simply adding decorations. I will also redraw this part. Before this correction, the hem of the kimono was connected all the way to the back. I got the impression that she was active. I cut off the hem of her kimono. I did this center up. This is related to the silhouette part. This is the long back hem of the kimono. I will redraw this part like this. I made this part inconsistent. This felt more aggressive. This silhouette is interesting. I like torn cloth. This is my preference. Everyone please forgive me. This is more a matter of drawing style than design. I think it would look cool if the silhouette of the cuffs was clearly visible. I redrawn it. I don’t draw this with a soft silhouette. Rather than that, I want a linear nuance of her image here. This is also a matter of drawing style. I’ll also add a little bit of her shoes. I added it. I haven’t really changed the design of my shoes. I adjusted the silhouette to give it a linear nuance. This is the last one. This is the last but important point. It’s the thickness of the pattern. The pattern of this kimono. This looks like a sword. These have nice patterns. These are too thin and the impression is a little weak. I will reconsider the thickness of this pattern. This improves the design. I start by modifying the pattern of the kimono. I fixed it. I made the kimono pattern thicker, but it looks good. I make the sword pattern thicker. I fixed the pattern on the sword. The power of this increased. I’ve finished editing this. I compare these side by side. The image on the right is before correction, and the image on the left is after correction. This is how it changed. What do you all think of these? I think this impression has changed a lot. In this correction, I explained the character design. I fixed this part first. I didn’t modify the character design at first. In order to make the character look good, placement and balance of light and dark are important. I made adjustments to the background of this. I say this just to be sure. If I use the background of this illustration as the main one. In that case, I think I would make a completely different correction. I direct the character’s eyes toward the background. I weaken the impression of the character. This is also a way to create a sense of atmosphere in the background. This character was very appealing this time. So I adjusted it like this. Next, I revised the character design. I changed it like this. If you want your character to stand out. I said that it is important to be conscious of density and silhouette. Specifically, I increased the density around the character’s face. I made the character’s silhouette sharp. I emphasized her aggressive overtones. I changed it so that everyone could see her image the moment they saw it. I haven’t made any major changes to the character design. However, the image of this is very different. I mentioned character design. I think there are many people who are not good at designing characters. Those people should watch this video. I recommend this video to those people.
