【福岡→羽田】片道9600円の格安航空に初めて搭乗、この値段なら正直…
Hey guys, it’s Yuuka here! I’m at Fukuoka Airport right now. Today I’m flying with a budget airline called Starflyer. It’s super affordable, Sometimes you can fly for under 70 bucks! And apparently the service is really good too. The cabin is supposed to be pretty high-tech as well, so I’m gonna check how comfy everything actually is! Let’s see if it lives up to the hype. Alright, time to check in! So today’s the day— it’s my very first time at Fukuoka Airport. It only took about five minutes by subway from Hakata Station. The fare was just 2 dollars! Now that I know how close it is, I don’t think I can ever go back to other airports… Airports with good access are seriously elite. *If it only takes 5 mins, you can totally sleep in! I just randomly took the escalator up, but turns out the check-in counter is on the first floor. Whoops. New places are a challenge when you’re directionally challenged… Got my ticket at the counter on the first floor. My flight leaves at 2:15 PM, and lands in Tokyo Haneda at 4:05 PM. So that’s almost a 2-hour flight. That’s a bit longer than usual. It’s my first Starflyer ride, so I’m super excited! Before hopping on the plane, I stopped by to grab some airport bento. Didn’t expect there to be *this* many choices! Sky-high convenience, am I right? *Too indecisive… might actually miss my flight The security check always makes my heart race. It’s not like I’ve got anything shady on me but still… I just get super nervous every single time. But I made it through security safe and sound! Heading over to Gate 6 now. At this point I think I’m safe from missing my flight. Found this place called AviSpa inside the airport! Looks like one of those street food stalls in Nakasu—so fun! Apparently they’ve even got motsunabe (beef tripe hotpot). But I already bought my bento earlier, sooo… I’m just gonna pretend I didn’t see it and walk away… be strong, me… Fukuoka Airport is way too full of temptations. Help. Please, whatever you do—don’t miss your flight like I almost did! Finally made it to Gate 6! Today’s Starflyer flight is a codeshare with ANA. It’s my first time flying with them, but it already feels super reliable. It’s 1:14 PM right now, which means exactly one hour to takeoff. Guess I’ll just chill here for a bit. *Just spotted the Starflyer plane getting ready! *It looks like a flying killer whale—adorable! I only had an hour to spare, so I treated myself to some Hakata motsu soup (yeah, I caved). The huge heap of pickled mustard greens was everything. Time for my first-ever Starflyer flight! My heart is literally racing. Just like the rumors said—the jet is pitch black. So cool! I’ve never seen a plane like this before. Alrighty, it’s finally time to board! Here’s what the seats look like. They’re super comfy and seem really cozy, but… It’s almost full… So now I’m lowkey looking around all suspicious-like. *Socially awkward mode: ON From the window you get this full view of the wing— so yeah, it’s more “airplane” than “view.” The seat pitch is 86cm, which is super roomy. Even with my bag down there, I still have space. The table is kinda standard, but— what makes Starflyer awesome is: every seat has its own personal screen! That’s honestly such a win. There’s also a coat hook next to it, which is perfect for hanging your souvenirs or bags. The headrest is suuuper plush, and you can adjust the height and angle however you want. On the left armrest there’s the recline button, and when you push it, it goes back like this— it really leans back a lot! *Kinda scared someone will push it back up though *There’s also a headphone jack on the right armrest for the screen Hello everyone! Thank you for flying with Starflyer Flight 48 to Tokyo Haneda today. We’re so glad to have you onboard. Thank you again for choosing us! We’re here today to keep the skies—and you—safe. I am… Starflyer Man! Umm… why is that robot flinging around luggage? This safety video is seriously wild but kinda hilarious. It’s so quirky it’s got me laughing. The plane’s finally taxiing slowly toward the runway. Just noticed—the wings aren’t black after all! And we’re officially taking off from Fukuoka Airport! I love that floaty feeling during liftoff— It totally makes me feel like a bird. Fukuoka has sooo much good food… If you’re not careful, you’ll get chubby real fast. Sorry for the weak takeoff song lyrics lol. *?!?! It’s been a bit since takeoff, so I decided to check out the seat monitor. The plane is an Airbus A320, and they actually cut out 30 seats just to make things more comfy! Besides the intro page, you’ve got music, movies, e-books— and even a map that shows all the way to Mumbai! *Wait… is this plane headed for the equator?! They don’t serve meals onboard, but there *is* a drink service— and guess what, you can get Tully’s Coffee for free! With all this to enjoy… one hour really isn’t enough! There’s even an outlet under the seat, and depending on the aircraft, they might have free Wi-Fi too! They really thought of everything! *There’s also a USB port, just one though! I tapped the “Video” section to see what’s on, and there are tons of shows from BS10. MSC Bellissima? I’ve always wanted to go on that cruise! Cruise trips are totally on my bucket list. The seat spacing here is even bigger than on JAL or ANA, so you’ve got loads of room for your feet and your neighbor. So of course I had to try out the footrest too! It folds out from under the seat like this— and if you recline your seat back, you can totally stretch out your legs. It’s amazing. Whoever designed this… I wanna send them a tip or something! It’s been 30 minutes since takeoff, and we’re flying somewhere over Mie Prefecture now. Oh right! I totally forgot something super important. It’s finally sky bento time! Honestly, I wanted a beer too but… I somehow resisted the urge today. Anyway—let’s dig in! Hakata mentaiko, eaten midair— let’s see how it tastes! The moment I took a bite, it popped in my mouth— so flavorful and spicy, like a flavor bomb boarding the plane! Fukuoka food really never disappoints. Next time I visit, I wanna eat like six full meals a day. *Weight gain 100% guaranteed By the way, my ticket this time was 9,600 yen—about 65 bucks— bought it through the STAR LIMITED sale on their website. For comparison, the bullet train to Tokyo costs around 150 dollars. The cheapest seat on the Hakata-go bus is about 60 dollars, but the ride takes like 15 hours. Budget airlines can go as low as 50 bucks, but they land in Narita, which is kinda far. So all things considered, Starflyer is actually a solid choice! *They have sales pretty often, so keep an eye out! Thanks for the meal! After two lunches… I’m so full I can’t move. I think I’ll take a quick little nap now. After my nap, a flight attendant brought me a cup of coffee! 10,000 meters in the sky—perfect time for tea. Time to enjoy a little in-flight luxury. And of course, today’s special guest is… Hakata Torimon! I found them at the JAL Plaza in the airport, and I got way too excited— I accidentally bought three boxes. I’ll make them dessert for today, tomorrow, and the day after. You can’t get Torimon anywhere outside of Fukuoka, so honestly I’m considering moving there just for these. Oh, and— if you order coffee, they also give you a piece of chocolate! Of course I had to try it. Little touches like this make me so happy. This was my first time on Starflyer, but now I totally wanna fly with them again! Here’s a little travel tip for you: If you ask the flight attendant for amenities, they’ll give you a cute original candy and a postcard! It’s such a fun souvenir, so gather your courage and go ahead and ask the crew next time! *It took me 10 minutes to work up the courage to say anything… Before landing, I stopped by to check out the restroom. Here’s what it looks like inside— pretty standard, nothing too fancy. And no, the toilet paper wasn’t black. Thank goodness. That’s it from the field! It’s been an hour since we took off, and we’re slowly descending now. Almost time to land at Haneda Airport. I can see Tokyo Skytree in the distance! From this far away… it looks smaller than a toothpick. *Usually I land in the countryside at Narita, so this is refreshing. Ladies and gentlemen, we have just landed at Tokyo Haneda International Airport. Thank you for flying with Starflyer and ANA on this codeshare flight. We truly appreciate your business. We hope to welcome you onboard again soon! Just arrived at Haneda Airport! Starflyer was honestly amazing. The legroom was awesome, and reclining was super easy too. Everything felt so spacious and comfy. They say drinks are free, but I wasn’t sure if refills were okay… and nobody else was getting seconds, so I just had the one cup. But the coffee came with chocolate— and it was super tasty! And when I asked the staff, I even got some amenities! They gave me a postcard and a candy. I don’t think you’d get it if you didn’t ask, so be sure to request it when you fly. It’s not as cramped as a low-cost carrier, but the prices are still pretty affordable, so if you’re on a budget, this might be just perfect for you. Thanks for watching till the end! If there are places you want me to visit, or cool transport you want me to ride, drop it in the comments! And don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. Seriously, it helps a ton! Okay, byeeee!
