「堀未央奈さんを最初に知った時、『なんだか猫みたいな人だなぁ』と思った記憶があります。魅力的な猫目なのもあると思いますがそれだけではない気がしています。スンとすましているように見えてユーモアもある。冷たいタイプなのかと思ったら誰よりも他のメンバーのことを見ている。そして最後は自分の道を貫く強さがある。そんな彼女の魅力を『猫』という漢字１文字で表現しました。歌詞の中には彼女のセンター曲『バレッタ』をイメージして蝶々が登場しています。」（BOH）
「私が乃木坂46を好きになったきっかけが『バレッタ』だったので、当時研究生でありながらこの曲でセンターに抜擢された堀未央奈さんのグループ卒業は私にとって大きな出来事でした。彼女が卒業を発表してすぐに曲を作ることを決めましたが、なかなか思うように曲が書けず、先にBOHに詞を書いてもらってその詞に曲を付けることにしたのですが、詞をもらってから曲を書き上げるまでに3か月以上も要しました。今までで一番時間のかかった曲です。
決して順風満帆ではなかったであろう彼女のアイドル人生を1曲の中で表現するのは至難の業でしたが、Aメロは過去、Bメロは現在、サビは未来をそれぞれ表現したつもりです。異なる3曲を繋いでメドレーにするようなイメージで書きました。自分の中ではこの曲はWingsの『Live And Let Die』や『Band on the Run』と同じです。
1サビからAメロに戻すのに苦労しましたが、『別れ際、もっと好きになる』がハマったのは幸運でした。」（ZONY）

For the first time I knew Miona Hori, I felt that she was like a cat. It is because she has charming eyes like a cat, but it’s not all. Sometimes she looks prim, but she is actually humorous. Sometimes she looks cold, but she is always caring others more than any other member. Finally, she is strong enough to push her way. I expressed her attractions to use one word, “cat”. In the lyrics, a butterfly appears. It is inspired by “Valletta”,which she sang in the center position. (By BOH)
I became a Nogizaka46 fan when I listened to “Valletta”, so it was big news for me that Miona Hori, the center of the song even though she was a trainee at that time, graduated from the group. I decided to make a song for her soon, but I couldn’t write music smoothly. Then, BOH wrote the lyrics first and I tried to give it music after that. However, I needed more than 3 months to give it music after I got the lyrics. I needed the longest time to make this work.
It was not easy to express her idol life, not always going well, in a song. I described her past in the verse, her current in the pre-chorus, her future in the chorus. I wrote it like making a medley mixing three songs. For me, this song is similar in this point to “Live And Let Die” and “Band on the Run” of Wings.
I had a hard time to connect the 1st chorus and the 2nd verse. Then I was lucky enough to be got inspired by “Wakaregiwa motto sukininaru” of Nogizaka46. (By ZONY)
